I broke out with mine for the fist time yesterday... It was pretty good>>There was a low turn out so the track never really came in.. I got it to within a tenth of where my CW car was>>I know with some fine tuning I can get this going as fast or faster....I had a few hairy qualifiers so I di not get to put many laps on the car..Also I was running a brushed car against brushless..Since only 2 of us showed up with brushed cars...lol Initial results are Im pleased with the performance.. However to get mine going FAST despite what was said earlier by mike I broke down and bought the HUB and offset top plate.>essentially running offset t-plate and on center pod. Car picked up some corner speed after making the switch.. Seemed to make the difference..

I would just like to comment on how professional Barry is at the Hyperdrive headquarters. I called him on Monday explaining to him that I just bought a Pro 3 over the weekend and planned on racing it today. However, I was missing several parts such as a whole side shock, ballstuds and a few misc screws. He didn't even question me, he apologized and sent the parts overnight. This is my first experience with hyperdrive and I just want to say that I am very pleased and glad I made the switch over from associated. Thanks again Hyperdrive!!

I'm trying to mount a GTX in the Pro 3 behind the batteries. I just can't find the right position to mount it. Does anyone else have a GTX and how did you mount it? Pics would really help too.

i have a gtx on all my cars and it fits fine i turn the wires towards the batteries and my positve is at the outside back. also for the capacitor i make longer leads for it so i can mount it either on the right side or beside the center shock. it shouldnt be a problem you just have to play with them barry mounts his keyence on it and i know it is bigger than a gtx

ive mounted my Q2 on the back battery slot of my 0700 and it fits, its quite crowded but it fits, the GTX is the Smallest ESC on the market, i cant believe you cant find room to mount it.

I would say mount it so the longer part of the ESC is cross-ways to the chassis, that way you have the most possible amount of the Speed control touching the chassis
Hope that helps

Thanks

Just like Rush and son said, works perfect, wire tie the cap to the aluminum cross brace under the top plate, you can mount the switch on the outside shock mount as well. it's not the size but the height with the heat sinks on top.I have both my cars that way and no problems.

Thanks guys. Its not the size I'm have a problem with its getting the wires past the shock mount. I think once the speedo is mounted I can bend the wires enough to get everything to work.

So what you're saying is that size doesn't matter.

I ran my new Pro 3 Saturday at Summitraceway in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I was very please as I TQ in 4 cell stock. I put the car on the track with a basic setup that I throw at it. All I did to the car all nite was change the tweak alittle and make a RF spring change. I finished 2nd in the main after contact with a car I was trying to lap. But I am very happy with what I have.

H drive Pro 3 knocks down its first local record around me. The Brushless record fell at Hobbyplex on Saturday. the track came in and our cars picked up and flew and there is more to come. Outstanding results so far

First day on Short track today in 19 turn and needless to say the car was flawless. Had to work some mixing traffic or I would have knocked off my own record there as well. Two different cars the two days with the same results. Fast fast fast.

While we're at it, the Pro3 took the TQ and the WIN at the Stock-I-Fied race at K/N Speedway in Stafford, Ct. by none other than the chief designer himself, Mike Valentine.................

Was that the solid or the slider? And in what pod position?

Thanks

jbm38 I run the 6 cell solid car, It should be out shortly. Since their still are so 6 cell racers/races we needed one. I ran short rear and long front, I also ran the middle width front locators no shims on the inside of the wheels.

Thanks Bill for the plug.

86RACER glad hear your running well I'll give you a call when time permits.

seaschorr send me a e-mail with what your running now, and what you think your lacking and i'll try to help, MSV3875@aol.com

Well, what a way to welcome someone to a forum. The guy has six posts under his belt and two of you want to make him feel like a jackass. Katf1sh, you don't know me but from your reputation on this website you should stick to reading posts and not flexing your internet muscles.

Monteman85, Nice to have you aboard. As Frostbite75 stated, both cars are available with the gen 3 being my pick. Easy to drive and well thought out.

Sorry about the jerks that cling to this website like parasites.
