Great Job Barry and Humpty. I rolled out my solid car yesterday. Took some time to find what it wanted on the track I was at but after I got it going the right direction it was running and driving quite nice. Should have no problems making it better from here.

Will The New Pro 3 Be Avalible In A Shorty Version As The Pro2 Is??
Shorty Pro 3 Slider Sounds Hot For Stock!!

Solid and slider only but you will be able to put the car in the same wheelbase as the pro 2 shorty car on both versions

9 5/8" ?
If so that is pretty sweet.

JW Housley

The wheelbase is actually 10 inches in the short/short position, not 9 5/8 line the 700/short pro 2.

I'm thinking the 0700 didn't come in a short version, just the solid pro 2,which is 9 5/8 in the short, short position.I've got my shorty in the long front short back position which measure's 10".

The Pro 3 wheelbase is the same as the regular Pro 2, not the Shorty.

Will there be a short version of the pro 3 released? Hey Eric I'm married to one of those Iowians, you gotta watch'em LOL.

JW Housley

Pepe, the 0700 in the short/short position is 9 5/8. There are 3 front end locations on the 0700 and 2 t-plate positions. When the PRO 2 came out it only had the 2 front end locations (no SHORT one). The short pro 2 had the whole front end slid back 3/8 to achieve the short wheelbase like the 0700.

Ooops, my mistake. Im always looking at the front end of the cars. If you lay the pro 3 chassis on top of the shorty the front ends are exact but the rear is longer. I pay to much attention to front ends I guess :)

Mike, thanks for clearing that up, I've got my shorty in what your calling the front middle position,I knew it, that dang Iowian is rubbing off on me, gotta quit eatin the cooking,LOL

Hey now, easy on that dang Iowan stuff:). I made a boo boo when I made that post. Lets make this easy. 700 chassis without the short wheel positition in the front. ;)

MIKE VALENTINE

You guys crack me up. As far as a Pro3 shorty. It's not as easy as just moving the front set of holes back .375". The Pro 2 shorty works well at some tracks more to due with the other small changes in the chassis, just as much as the wheelbase option. If you run the shorty and the Pro 2 at the same wheelbase they will run vary differnet from each other.

Humpty is correct!! The new car is very very good. I ran about 3 packs through mine at MSA and got it better than my 700!!!

Rob never tried to load it from the top, fits right in from the bottom. slide the endbell side in first towards the left rear body post and the turn motor shaft in the motor plate.

would it be possible to make the shock/cross brace fit on a Pro 3, Pro 2, or 0700???

Like MAKE IT fit?

MURDOCKRC
08-25-2005, 05:50 PM
Shouldnt come close I dont think. MV would be able to verify me but the pod is completely different on the pro 3 car compared to the pro 2/700 pod. You could most get it to bolt to the chasis but the geometry would not be correct with the pod.

(a few min's later)
Just got done comparing and the crossbrace will not work on the old cars. It will not even work on my prototype chassis.

Rob @ Murdock R/C

MIKE VALENTINE

No the Pro3 crossbrace and side shock mounts won't bolt onto the older cars.

My new Pro 3 is almost ready to for next weekend :) Could anyone tell me if the setup I,ve been running on my Pro2s will be anywhere close to what I,ll need for a Pro3? Tracks a 320 foot runline low banked but relatively ( for concrete ) hi grip concrete oval, any help would be greatly appreciated.

John Foister, Love your tires man, thanks for putting up us cap racers ;)

Yes, your pro2 set up will be very close. Car will just perform better with the new geometry and chassy flex characteristic's.

You are welcome Lee.
