BRDRACING 08-15-2005, 07:55 AM Congrates goes to Barry and Humpty! Brooks JW Housley 08-15-2005, 09:21 AM Actually, Hyperdrive won all the A-mains and the big 128 lapper!! erock1331 08-15-2005, 09:51 AM Props to the HD boys, looks like the Pro3 is fo Real !! MURDOCKRC 08-15-2005, 11:31 AM Great Job Barry and Humpty. I rolled out my solid car yesterday. Took some time to find what it wanted on the track I was at but after I got it going the right direction it was running and driving quite nice. Should have no problems making it better from here. MARTIN 08-16-2005, 11:14 AM Will The New Pro 3 Be Avalible In A Shorty Version As The Pro2 Is?? Shorty Pro 3 Slider Sounds Hot For Stock!! MURDOCKRC 08-16-2005, 11:44 AM Solid and slider only but you will be able to put the car in the same wheelbase as the pro 2 shorty car on both versions Rob @ Murdock R/C erock1331 08-16-2005, 11:47 AM Solid and slider only but you will be able to put the car in the same wheelbase as the pro 2 shorty car on both versions 9 5/8" ? If so that is pretty sweet. JW Housley 08-16-2005, 12:27 PM The wheelbase is actually 10 inches in the short/short position, not 9 5/8 line the 700/short pro 2. pepe 08-16-2005, 12:35 PM I'm thinking the 0700 didn't come in a short version, just the solid pro 2,which is 9 5/8 in the short, short position.I've got my shorty in the long front short back position which measure's 10". haysreeling 08-16-2005, 02:09 PM The Pro 3 wheelbase is the same as the regular Pro 2, not the Shorty. erock1331 08-16-2005, 02:14 PM The Pro 3 wheelbase is the same as the regular Pro 2, not the Shorty. i figured, thanks Hays for clearing up. Those IOWians must be smoking too much hay on the farm, hehe, just kiddin Rob. pepe 08-16-2005, 02:29 PM Will there be a short version of the pro 3 released? Hey Eric I'm married to one of those Iowians, you gotta watch'em LOL. JW Housley 08-16-2005, 02:43 PM Pepe, the 0700 in the short/short position is 9 5/8. There are 3 front end locations on the 0700 and 2 t-plate positions. When the PRO 2 came out it only had the 2 front end locations (no SHORT one). The short pro 2 had the whole front end slid back 3/8 to achieve the short wheelbase like the 0700. JWHousley MARTIN 08-16-2005, 02:59 PM Which Answer Was Right...lol...???haha MIKE VALENTINE 08-16-2005, 03:57 PM 9.625" rear short, front short, pro2 shorty & 700 9.813" rear long, front short, pro2 shorty & 700 10.000" rear short, front middle, pro2 shorty, 700, pro2 & pro3 10.188" rear long, front middle, pro2 shorty, 700, pro2 & pro3 10.375" rear short, front long, pro2, pro3, & 700 10.563" rear long, front long, pro 2, pro3 & 700 MARTIN 08-16-2005, 04:11 PM Thanks!! MURDOCKRC 08-16-2005, 04:45 PM Ooops, my mistake. Im always looking at the front end of the cars. If you lay the pro 3 chassis on top of the shorty the front ends are exact but the rear is longer. I pay to much attention to front ends I guess :) pepe 08-16-2005, 05:37 PM Mike, thanks for clearing that up, I've got my shorty in what your calling the front middle position,I knew it, that dang Iowian is rubbing off on me, gotta quit eatin the cooking,LOL MURDOCKRC 08-16-2005, 06:02 PM Hey now, easy on that dang Iowan stuff:). I made a boo boo when I made that post. Lets make this easy. 700 chassis without the short wheel positition in the front. ;) MIKE VALENTINE 08-17-2005, 02:06 PM You guys crack me up. As far as a Pro3 shorty. It's not as easy as just moving the front set of holes back .375". The Pro 2 shorty works well at some tracks more to due with the other small changes in the chassis, just as much as the wheelbase option. If you run the shorty and the Pro 2 at the same wheelbase they will run vary differnet from each other. Humpty 08-17-2005, 03:28 PM Guys the new cae runs great in stock ...19t ...and Mod everywhere ....Its broken most local track records by a lap or more this season ....This car is a little different to set up and get a good feel for because it turns so much better than the others .... JW Housley 08-18-2005, 03:04 AM Humpty is correct!! The new car is very very good. I ran about 3 packs through mine at MSA and got it better than my 700!!! BRDRACING 08-18-2005, 08:20 AM First run that I had on the pro3 was 2 seconds faster then my fastest run on my 700 brooks erock1331 08-18-2005, 09:01 AM you da man brooksie !! Barry Hill 08-18-2005, 04:38 PM OK Guys, here we go. I shipped Pro 3 kits to the following hobby shops and online shops: Lefthander R/C Murdock R/C RC4LESS The Hobby Connection in Easley S.C. Trailer Hobbies in Theodore, AL Box Karr Hobbies in Iowa EA Motorsports Fastlane Raceway in Blue Springs, Missouri Rush & Son R/C in Henderson, TN thanks barry 17driver 08-18-2005, 05:21 PM That sounds great Barry! hacksaw 08-18-2005, 08:24 PM What about Hacksaws kits where are they at!!!!!!!!Its hard to get good help as DR would say!!!!!!Hacksaw JKR 08-23-2005, 09:40 AM Is the Pro 3 top load or bottom load for the motor ? Thanks in advance. MURDOCKRC 08-23-2005, 10:25 AM They are a top loader Rob @ Murdock R/C BAR 26 08-23-2005, 02:36 PM Woule there be anyway to mount the PRO 3 Cross Brace on a 0700 or Pro 2???? Barry Hill 08-23-2005, 02:58 PM No, the Pro 3 cross brace will not fit on the Pro 2 of 0700. thanks barry MIKE VALENTINE 08-23-2005, 03:26 PM JKR I load the motor from the bottom. Hacksaw never going to happen, lol. Barry get back to work! I have a new part for you to cut out. I'll send it tonight, I'll expect it by latest thursday at my house. MURDOCKRC 08-23-2005, 03:42 PM I tried to load one from the bottom last week MV and I couldnt squeeze that critter in there. Whats your secret;) Rob Humpty 08-23-2005, 03:46 PM Easy ..He is not from IOWA....lol erock1331 08-23-2005, 03:52 PM Easy ..He is not from IOWA....lol gotta give ya credit humpty that was a good one. MURDOCKRC 08-23-2005, 03:59 PM Easy on the Iowa cracks there Humpty :) its a good thing Im here to keep you in line. Have you widened the doors on your house yet? I dont want you to have your ears trimmed everytime you walk through door :) :) Rob MIKE VALENTINE 08-24-2005, 08:41 AM Rob never tried to load it from the top, fits right in from the bottom. slide the endbell side in first towards the left rear body post and the turn motor shaft in the motor plate. MURDOCKRC 08-24-2005, 09:20 AM I havent been real sharp lately have I. That one should have been obvious. OK, Im done being a dumby for a while. :) Rob Tommygun43 08-25-2005, 02:50 PM Anyone know if the KSG shock/crossbrace mount will fit directly onto a Pro 3 chassis? thanks. MIKE VALENTINE 08-25-2005, 03:28 PM Tommygun43 no it won't fit. BAR 26 08-25-2005, 05:40 PM would it be possible to make the shock/cross brace fit on a Pro 3, Pro 2, or 0700??? BAR 26 08-25-2005, 05:42 PM Like MAKE IT fit? MURDOCKRC 08-25-2005, 05:50 PM Shouldnt come close I dont think. MV would be able to verify me but the pod is completely different on the pro 3 car compared to the pro 2/700 pod. You could most get it to bolt to the chasis but the geometry would not be correct with the pod. (a few min's later) Just got done comparing and the crossbrace will not work on the old cars. It will not even work on my prototype chassis. Rob @ Murdock R/C MIKE VALENTINE 08-26-2005, 08:37 AM No the Pro3 crossbrace and side shock mounts won't bolt onto the older cars. John Foister 08-30-2005, 01:23 AM Finally got mine together and ran it at the new Cincy flat track and was real impressed, congradulations to Barry and Mike for a job well done. KOZ 08-30-2005, 01:27 AM John or Mike When you get a chance shoot me a starting flat track set-up. I have plenty for a ksg but starting from scratch with the new cars. kosmon@sbcglobal.net thanks Carpet Assasin 08-30-2005, 04:42 PM John, When do you guys run on the flat track? And is it the same location that me and Liehr went too a few years ago? Mod? Thanks, Mar.... John Foister 08-30-2005, 10:59 PM No it is a new track that is pool table smooth. www.theworldofhobbies.com Fl Flash 08-31-2005, 08:10 PM My new Pro 3 is almost ready to for next weekend :) Could anyone tell me if the setup I,ve been running on my Pro2s will be anywhere close to what I,ll need for a Pro3? Tracks a 320 foot runline low banked but relatively ( for concrete ) hi grip concrete oval, any help would be greatly appreciated. John Foister, Love your tires man, thanks for putting up us cap racers ;) Lee, Have Hyperdrive will Race! John Foister 09-01-2005, 11:04 AM Yes, your pro2 set up will be very close.
