toytowne 09-11-2002, 05:36 PM eric do you think a 6 cell tray will be available later on? toytowne 09-11-2002, 05:39 PM Eric Is the new car woven or layerd graphite? pepe 09-11-2002, 06:29 PM Toy The new car is woven as is everything from hyperdrive these days,I finally saw the car this past weekend and it does look awsome, yea I've got $250 put aside too. EAMotorsports 09-11-2002, 06:51 PM 37 Racing..The car looks NOTHING like an Assasian. And all the ideas on the car are pretty original. There is already a 6 cell tray T-town...its actually 7 cell trays and 5 cell trays. You will understand why when you see them. The cars will be .095 woven. eric a toytowne 09-11-2002, 07:46 PM awsome cann't wait HOOPD1 09-11-2002, 08:07 PM Eric,I have heard there will be a conversion kit available. Will it use anty parts from the510?Also do you think the conversion will be available the same time the kit is? EAMotorsports 09-11-2002, 08:13 PM Yes HoopD1...There is a very very good chance their will be a conversion. But the only parts that you will use off the 500-510 will be the bumper and pod plates. And of course the front end, shocks and axle/hubs. Im not sure when it will be ready to ship though. The bumper is the only interchangable graphite piece and the rear bulkheads are the only interchangable alumn pieces. eric a Hyper-Phobia 09-11-2002, 08:23 PM Hey Eric, will this new car be available in the 1/12th scale oval too? I sure hope so.:rolleyes: HOOPD1 09-11-2002, 08:23 PM Thanks Eric,I wish all companys would offer conversions or just the graphite parts.I have way more plastic shock mounts,Ae front ends,Ae shocks, body posts, axle, hubs and stuff than I will ever need:lol: EAMotorsports 09-11-2002, 09:29 PM Hyper-phobia....we are working on a 12th scale also....If someone gets a prototype done by the nats (unlikly though) then I will run it there to test it some. eric a hacksaw 09-11-2002, 09:40 PM I thought I was going to get one but I guess thats what happens when you get old they just put you in the back and forget about ye !!!!! MIKE VALENTINE 09-12-2002, 10:41 AM the 1/12 hopefully will bw cut this week. barry is trying to get a few done to run at the nat's at dr's place. they won't have all the features of the production cars but the most important ones. we need to test some of the funny stuff. things like new pod plates and other aluminum items just take more time to design and test then the graphite parts do. you will get the general idea what i'm talking about when you see the 1/10 and 1/12 cars. i talked to barry and he is really trying tohave cars for this weekend for sale. not 100% so don't go flying off the handle if there not at the track this weekend. just ask anyone theres alot of little things that go into putting a complete kit together. mike valentine team hyperdrive r&d:lol: btw any one with $250 in there pocket just burning a hole you can send it to me. SMROCKET 09-12-2002, 10:44 AM i DONT HAVE 250.00 BUT i DO HAVE A ROCKET IN MY POCKET,,, GIVE ME CALL YOU USED CAR SALESMAN..HEHEHEH srm:o :o  MIKE VALENTINE 09-12-2002, 10:52 AM steve just tried your cell no answer. i left message my work number. I should be shipping the 2nd batch end of the week. thanks barry 1Starpower 09-17-2002, 12:33 AM For those that have been waiting (like myself) for a pic of the new car, Bruce at www.rc4less.com has the box cover pic posted on there under Hyperdrive kits. From what I can see, its interesting but I'll have to wait till after the nats. JONW1020 09-17-2002, 08:32 AM Is the new car woven or sheet graphite like the old HD's MIKE VALENTINE 09-17-2002, 09:06 AM the new car will only be .095 woven graphite. http://rc4less.safeshopper.com/17/308.htm?61 TOME57 09-17-2002, 05:12 PM Do you run the new car as it comes (box stock) or do you use the adjustable caster blocks, adjustable shock mount, and the frontend center brace? The car looks real good in the picture - lot's of adjustability. Tom id38 09-17-2002, 06:01 PM hey mickey whatup man!!!!!!! hey car looks good congrats on a STELLAR design. i think most people will be faster with just the box hahhaha See you soon eric pepe 09-17-2002, 06:06 PM Which servo do guys recommend I'm thinking one of those Futaba wide thin ones but can't think of the #? I'm putting my parts list together for the 0700 jflack 09-17-2002, 07:48 PM Best servo on the market for oval is the JR7005 Manufacturer: JR Part Number: JRPS7005 Product Name: 7005 LO-PROFILE HI-SPEED SERVO Low-Profile (Coreless) Specifications Torque: 62.6 oz./in. NatureBoy 09-17-2002, 08:41 PM Also added a couple of extra pictures of just the updated graphite parts. Click the link under "SPY Pictures" at www.rc4less.com BT race3737 09-17-2002, 09:42 PM The chassis looks very nice! kgbracing 09-18-2002, 12:55 AM sorry for off topic i wish the 7005 wasnt so expensive :( MIKE VALENTINE 09-18-2002, 08:44 AM TOME57 i usally run the stock shock mount most places, but like the aluminum one when running the short wheel base options so i can still get the receiver behind the servo. since you can run the shock mount back farther but up to still get extra force on the front end. i run standard castor block on the right front and standard or aluminum on left front track dependent. hd will have a new castor block soon, which i will run every where since it will also have the stock asc hole included. i always used the front end brace but now with the extra graphite adjustment pieces bolted to the chassis flex is reduced not needing the brace anymore. id38 thanks pepe i always run the 9102 futaba servo they do have a new digital replacement for it don't now part number racinfella78 eric anderson was #1 and #3 bruce thanks for the kind words and all the help at sandhills i know it was a long time ago but never really did thank you. can't wait for snowbirds see you then. race3737 thanks PHR 09-18-2002, 10:37 AM i think the idea with the battery tray extending back by the cross brace is awsome..great idea with the tee plate spacer..car looks great..george rodriguez..p.s are both batt trays and top plates included in the kit?? FASTALJR 09-18-2002, 10:49 AM Great looking car, but I`m still confused with the normal cars, looks to complicated for me. But nontheless a great looking car. MIKE VALENTINE 09-18-2002, 11:13 AM rcer6x thanks, t-plate spacer:confused: the hy0700 will come with only the 5 cell tray and standard top plate. the 7 cell tray and offset top plate are optional parts. FASTALJR any help you need, just come on over, me or someone will help. http://rc4less.safeshopper.com/images/bm0o0qyt.jpg http://rc4less.safeshopper.com/images/bm0o304a.jpg some more pictures for those interested. hopefully the hd site will be updated soon. there has been a few minor changes from the pictures posted above. theres more material behind the left front, to be able to run the 9102 stly servos, when using the short wheel base. also the front end adjustment plates are thiner the ones in the pictures were .095, now .0625 to match the asc silver washers. the battery tays also have a slot in the back for tapeing the cells if you split the pack but don't move them forward. the cover shown on www.rc4less.com should read 3 bumper locations. http://rc4less.safeshopper.com/images/bl130pi6.jpg SMROCKET 09-18-2002, 12:10 PM Car look great VALENTINO, I have my phone on today ... I meant to call you last night but I had to go to Dinner with the younger version of me... SRM:eek:  MIKE VALENTINE 09-18-2002, 12:27 PM who arron:lol: ok i'll call also to add there will be rear steer available. i see that it's not mentioned. 1/4 and 1/2 degree lower pod plates. look for other goodies soon. PHR 09-18-2002, 12:39 PM there appears to be an aluminum piece with 3 holes in front of the botom plate in the pics...i am assuming it is to space the t plate from the bottom plate?...no more damn washers!!....cool.. MIKE VALENTINE 09-18-2002, 12:49 PM the aluminum plate is a support, for the crossbrace. since the left standoff is moved toward the t-plate the cross brace was flexing more then i wanted. so the brace stiffens the cros brace. but hd will also be making t-plate spacers but not available yet. MIKE VALENTINE 09-18-2002, 03:28 PM rcer6x the washers under the asc t-plates are a great tuning devise. remove the middle one and the t-plate gives a softer rear suspension. the problem with full length spacers are that, and each t-plate is a different thinkness. .063, .075, and .031 for spring steel. FASTALJR 09-18-2002, 04:05 PM Mikey I`m way beyond help lol!! just ask miller, hes seen my pity of a pan car. I also have to get the bunny hope dance step patented for my 4 cell mod car. Besides if there was a driver in my car the last time I ran mod, he would of looked something like this after I was done----------->http://smilies.uniquehardware.co.uk/cwm/cwm/rcain.gif CypressMidWest 09-19-2002, 12:57 AM The car looks really nice, ALOT like another Oval chassis I've been looking at though. Especially the cutouts around the "normal" speedo mounting area. JW Housley 09-19-2002, 03:14 AM The 0700 Car isn't anything like any other car that I have seen........I have owned several.......HD 510's,HD 0500, KGB, Adrenaline's, ADX (new car)......... I am sitting here looking at my ADX and the 0700 EASE.......I can see where it could be similar to the ADX (maybe the L3O too) but it is different around the speedo area....... Well, gotta go and start assembling the 0700....... drave 09-19-2002, 08:24 AM Got mine on Tuesday. Car is awesome, can't wait till the weekend, so I can get started building it. Rocketkiller, when are the new caster blocks you spoke of going to be available?? vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
