i ran into a slight problem with them. seems like the indusrty hasn't decided what size to make there motor plates. asc, hd, bolink, ksg, kgb, trinity all have slightly different sizes in there motor plates. so if i machine a ride height adjuster it still won't fit all the pan cars. i know i wouldn't want to buy a higher priced item and still not have it fit right. i can easily make one for the hyperdrive guys but no way is it going to fit asc parts.

yeah, that aint good...sounds like a tolerancing problem from one mfg to another...:(

I will be racing a Hyperdrive 510 at the Nats? Could someone send me an e-mail with a set-up. I hope to make the 510 work. The SSE II is not in the budget at this time. :thumbsup: Good run at the regional guys.

There is a light weight shock mount in the works, but the machine shop side of the shop is very backed up and we do not have time to run the aluminum part across the mills. Everyone seems to want their parts yesturday. I will post pics when they are finished, some times things hae a way of showing up in other places when they are showed off before they are ready to be shipped. I hope everyone understands, I have no doubt you will think it was worth the wait.

I never really could get my clicker shock to work so I switched back to the HPI,the threaded TC3 shock would probably be the better choice for the kits,IMOP.

How do I get my shock anodized red? Do I just send it to Hyperdrive or to your machine shop. Also how long will it take and how much?

I would recommend the TC3 shock body. I have never been impressed with HPI stuff. Besides if need to buy HPI parts you have to buy more stuff than you need. I looked into trying the HPI shock and I had to buy a kit with 2 shocks plus the caps and it was about $40. Most guys that I know (including myself) have macro vcs shock parts already and AE makes the best shock on the market right now. Plus I think most hooby shops carry AE parts anyway.

Any set up tips for a flat carpet oval with a 4 foot infield and 120 ft running line. The track is 11 foot wide(each straight away). If I told my L3O set up would that help you in directing which way to go on the setup?

My L3O set up: LF green tire & green spring, RF tire purple & purple spring (sometimes red spring), short wheel base, 10 degree blocks, long king pins, camber blocks IRS RF inside bottom & LF outside top, middle spring AE silver buggy 30 wt oil, LR sping red 30wt, RR spring blue 30wt. rear pod to the left, wide RR hub, LR as close to the pod without touching, .075 fiberglass T-plate, rear tires white, 400grams LR and 192grams RR. This set up will run within 1 lap of Track record. I am ready to up the record with my SSE Pro 2.

Still loving mine, But I will have to say that I went out and pulled my only single shock 500 out that has the angled chassis and set a new track record with it at the local track. To bad it only lasted 2 races because I had some one driving a 510bt break mine in that same night.

What body should we be running at BMS with my SSE pro2? Off-set or standard pod? Wheelbase? type wing? frontend setup? center shock position? spring/oil? anything?

Any setup help would be great! I'm kinda low on the Team ladder, but I could use some help from ya. Last time at BMS was the Norrca nats, and the car was terrible.
