I know I am no expert on this thread, but why don't you try and work around with the sideshocks. I had problems with that comming off and I was just adjusting the shocks until the car clicked. Just a thought.

Mikey V, going to Marshalls Saturday???

If I switch from the graphite t-plate to the metal Hyperdrive t-plate, should I change the spring too? Both are medium.

MIKE VALENTINE

Markey 86 no i haven't ordered any yet.

Donnie_99 try harder rear tires or just rr.

volcomxcore yes i will be at marshalls. if i don't drive off theroad getting there leaving at 5:00 am side shocks do work buy will change turn in.

MK Race med is realative. three t-plates hard med soft not meaning you can compare fiberglas graphite or spring steel med to med. the spring steel normally needs a heavier weight oild to keep the same effect as the fiberglass plate and graphite one. so if you running 40 wt with fiberglass run 45 or 50 wt with spring steel.

Ok guys, here is some news for all fo you 0700 racers. We have started shipping the new Team Edition Red Kit and have even more news, we have worked out a deal with CRC to put their clicker shocks in the team kits.

If you have not seen these shocks they are modeled after the HPI shock with a 4 stage Clicker piston. They are a great edition to the kit.

We are working on the website again, FINALLY. LOL!!!!

We will have pics of the new 1/12 oval kit and the one piece 0700 chassis ( SSE PRO 2).

The SSE PRO 2 is a 0700 with 6 cell battery tray all in one piece. All
you need is the chassis and a .995 standoff to convert to this chassis.

OH YES, there will be pics of the team edition red kit.

Thanks for all of your support and good luck racing.

I need help selecting a new servo for 0700. Any recommendations? Is digital better or worse? What are the advantages of coreless vs. 3 pole? Micro to save weight or standard? What about speed? Plenty of racers are willing to suggest what they have, or like, but it would be nice to hear something a little less biased. Maybe someone can explain how to choose a good servo and why. I race on a flat carpet track primarily 4 cell stock.
Sorry if this is the wrong thread but it seemed like a good place to start.

1loosenut, I would not recommend anything but a digital servo. There is an amazing difference, the digital will center the same everytime. The only other thing I look at is torque, anything over 60 oz. @ 4.8 volts. I use a Futaba S9550 for my 1/10 cars. and JR DS3421 for 1/12 cars. The JR is a mini servo, both are digital.

Hi Danny sorry we missed your race, one of these times we will make it! How does the speed compare on the Futaba to the 9603 I think we have?

Danny B
03-20-2003, 04:15 PM
Mike, the 9550 has a speed of .14, the 9602? is .11, not really a significant difference. But the torque is almost twice as much on the 9550 and the digital factor.

Great Job Barry the CRC clicker shock is the best ... It also accepts Associated style pistons .you just need to shim them properly to work It also can use HPI pistons .If anyone need help with these units let me know I have been useing these for 1 year already....SRM

pepe, you are right it is like the 0500 in that it is based on the 6 cell 0700 but all one piece.

Mike V, Our anodize tanks should be here Friday or Monday. We will have red, green, and black to begin with.

I cut one of the new 1\12 oval and it looked great, but sent it to R\C CAR Magazine, along with Team 0700 and Team SSE PRO 2 for an oval article in the July issue. I have the 1\12 and sse pro2 but no box cover or instructions, it is tax time and do not have time this week to work on them.

The website will probably be down soon to move it to a new host, we it is changed it will be completely updated with all new cars and pics of all after market parts.

I've got a small beef to post here regarding the info about the 0700 from the "team" drivers.

A while back I asked the question here about a report I had heard that HD was coming out with a thicker chassis plate for the 0700.

Well, one of the "team" drivers posted here "oh no.. that's not going to happen".

Well, to my amazement, last week Jamie Tennies showed up at Trackside with a new thicker chassis plate for the 0700.

What's the straight story on this ????????

Thx

Teamgoodwrench, We changed the layup of the graphite and that made it stronger. the thickness of the chassis is .098 but you have to figure the tolerance which is Plus or minus 7% of the thickness.

hope this helps

hyperdrive man, the red kits are available now. I am putting the teflon coated aluminum pivot balls front end and t-plate. I have not received the CRC "clicker" shocks yet, they were back ordered and should ship to me Friday or Monday. I also do not have a box cover or manual for the ssepro2 or the new 1\12 oval. When I get the cars back I sent to R\C Car Magazine I am going to end them to the new web master so he can take the pics for the web.

hope this answers everything.

Hey can one of the hd team drivers let me know what the clicker shocks are desinged for and what the advantage of having them are

New CRC "Clicker" shocks. These new externally adjustable shocks feature a 4-position click adjustment to vary the damping from soft to firm. Just a quick turn of the shock bottom and the damping changes in 4 gradual steps. Gone are the days of changing shock oil every run. Clicker's feature hard-coated threaded adjustable shock bodies for precision spring adjustments.

Basically its like changing the piston in a shock! I suggest you start in one of the middle positions. The position that will give you maxium adjustment toward the best amount of dampening for your track!!!!! The piston is one of the least used tuning item oval racers change. This shock will make it a very easy option to get the car faster!

Sorry to say that we strayed, but have come home again to Hyper Drive. Finished a 700 Team Kit on Wed. and first run of the night set a new track record with it! This is by far the best car on the market right now! Keep up the great work Barry.

When running the clicker shock you need to use a lighter oil like around 25-35wt.Ihave been running these shocks all season and love them.

Mike M that car was as close to perfect as I've ever seen. How many tenths of a second you figure that red anodizing is worth? L.O.L.Can't wait to see what you pull out of your hat next.
