what's with the two different oranges on the MB Challenger??

I dunno, but I really wish they'd do an R/T stripe, or the new Retro Classic T/A stripe tampo on it soon!!!

It's called a running change. Matchbox is trying to recreate the official colors of the real vehicles, and sometimes a model will begin production with the wrong look to it.

Basically, when a model first begins production, the manufacturer itself will be given an example, and occasionally they come back to Matchbox and say it is not wuite how they expected it. Matchbox will then adjust as neccessary. I am guessing in this case Dodge were expecting the model to be metallic, and requeste dit get altered. However, earlier ones will already be in stores and so too late to recall.

Oh yes. Part way through the release of batch C the Challenger (as well as the Mazda 2 in blue) both changed from a non-metallic to a metallic version of their respective colors.

Therefore both variations will be pretty much as common as each other, so both should be easy enough to find.
