I got a Associated MGT 3.0 Nitro truck, this thing is pretty darn quick. It just seems like the brakes aren't stopping it like it should.

I'm not to new Nitro as I had a Kyosho Nostalgic series Daytona Coupe that was pretty quick ,but it seemed to stop better then this thing does. I think I have things set up like the instructions say. but...?... I made the mistake of having it come at me bringing it in and I had to jump out of it's way or it would have knocked me right on my butt!
Any tips ideas??

Could be the discs are glazed, the servo is not strong enough or not adjusted properly.

look at your brake linkage and see if it is setup with a spring on it. If so, try taking a peice of fuel tubing and cutting it to match the length of spring then put that in it's place. sometimes the springs used dont provide enough hold to apply the brakes properly, the fuel tubing doesnt compress like the spring, so it applies more pressure onto the pad. thats what i have done to all my nitro cars, and my 1/8 aftershock. works great.

Thanks for the tip!!
Do you match the spring length uncompressed, or compressed?

I have always matched it uncompressed.
