I got the Thunder power TP-610C charge for Thunder Power 5000mah 40C 2-Cell and want to find out the charge and discharge rate I get the choice of 50 mA to 1A and charge 0.25A ~ 10A and dont want to mis set the charge on them any help would be great!

you can charge them up to 10 amps with no problems at all..

if you can't discharge at 30 amps or higher don't bother...35 amps is the standard today..with guys going way beyond that currently.

I know I am not understanding something here becuase I can only set discharge on the charger to 1A at max

your charger is well not exactly competiton grade..

a GFX will discharge at 35 amps and give you a IR reading avd discharge time and avg voltage...the idea is to mimic real time amp draw...

honestly i wouldn't worry about discharging your lipo..they are not at all like nimh cells and do not require discharging for storage or performance gains..unless you run at a track where heating is allowed than you would want to hit them at 35 amps til it hits 6 volts and than keep them warm while you charge...but that is way too much info right now..

chraging at a higher amp rate realy won't show any gains on the track either..it will just charge up quicker.
