2009 Novak All-Star Challenge
It’s back, in addition to the Novak National Finals we will again be running the richest All-Star event in all of R/C the 3rd Annual Novak All-Star Challenge.
This Special event will see the best drivers from all four BRL National divisions be invited to go head to head and compete for their share of the $1200 cash purse.
This years event will again take place on Friday and Saturday nights of the Novak National Finals weekend at Tri-State Hobbies in Fairfield, OH. Drivers will compete in a unique qualifying format using Novak 21.5 motors and the 21.5 Super Stock rules package. . To be invited to the All Star race a driver must have WON an A-main at one of this seasons BRL Regional Events.
In 2009 we had 10 different A-main winners that qualified for a position in the All-Star race, however one driver and possibly a second are not expected attend the finals. So what I have decided to do is invite some wild card drivers to race on Friday night in the All-Star Open with the winner moving on to Saturdays All-Star Showdown. The wild card drivers selected are the top 2 drivers in points from each BRL class not already in the All-Star race.
Friday Night: The Novak All Star Open
Wild Card drivers will compete in a 75 lap qualifying race that will see the winner move on to compete in Saturday Nights Big Money All Star Showdown. We will have a 10 car field for the All-Star race. If needed, to fill the 10 car field, the 2nd place finisher may also move on.
