2009 Novak All-Star Challenge

It’s back, in addition to the Novak National Finals we will again be running the richest All-Star event in all of R/C the 3rd Annual Novak All-Star Challenge.

This Special event will see the best drivers from all four BRL National divisions be invited to go head to head and compete for their share of the $1200 cash purse.

This years event will again take place on Friday and Saturday nights of the Novak National Finals weekend at Tri-State Hobbies in Fairfield, OH. Drivers will compete in a unique qualifying format using Novak 21.5 motors and the 21.5 Super Stock rules package. . To be invited to the All Star race a driver must have WON an A-main at one of this seasons BRL Regional Events.

In 2009 we had 10 different A-main winners that qualified for a position in the All-Star race, however one driver and possibly a second are not expected attend the finals. So what I have decided to do is invite some wild card drivers to race on Friday night in the All-Star Open with the winner moving on to Saturdays All-Star Showdown. The wild card drivers selected are the top 2 drivers in points from each BRL class not already in the All-Star race.

Friday Night: The Novak All Star Open

Wild Card drivers will compete in a 75 lap qualifying race that will see the winner move on to compete in Saturday Nights Big Money All Star Showdown. We will have a 10 car field for the All-Star race. If needed, to fill the 10 car field, the 2nd place finisher may also move on.

Saturday Night: The Novak All Star Showdown

After qualifying for the Novak National Finals is complete the All-Star Showdown will take center stage, 100 laps with the winner taking home$500 from Novak.

Thanks to Novak’s support The 2009 All Star Challenge purse will be in excess of $1200.

Great series, fun racing, nice tracks traveled to. Awesome job of keeping the competitiveness and fairness in oval racing. And lastly but not leastly THANKS for All the Sponsors that help promote this kind of racing series.
