I have been looking for a GM of the 66 Galaxie because my 1:1 is very close in color to the GM. I am not an avid enough collector to pay the $120 that one went on the bay for recently. :confused:One was up for $31 on a BIN including shipping so guess what? I bought it! Patiently waiting for a non-drag version to be released.

Hi Galaxieman,

There will be a non-drag yellow with black vinyl top version released in our upcoming MCG Hobby Collection Series 3. I hope you like it. These are available at your normal hobby stores, online dealers and Toys R Us.

Gongrats to you!
It must be a thrill to have a little feller that represents your 1:1.
Many of us car guys that aren't into muscle cars are just plain out of luck, but you hit the jack pot!!!
I have owned many many old cars and always have 3 or 4 kicking around, but can't think of more than once that I've had a scale version to go with it.
Serves me right for not liking the cars that everyone else likes I guess.

I have a display case that has a portion dedicated to cars once owned by members of my family. Currently there are 27 different 1:64 examples in it plus 25 various size models but some of them are duplicates.
These models are exact copies or some very close. A rodded 48 coupe counts but of course my Mom's 48 was not touched. The 50 Ford Crestliner is close enough to the 51 2 door we owned. Well you get the idea. Ever see a 41 Dodge model in any size? I recently came across a 41 Plymouth that is close enough. Ya gotta be flexible! :p

Here's a shot of the case with the picture of my Mother beside her 55 Victoria on top. I has a 51 Vic like the one on top of the case in 1:43

I want your 1:1 :) Those were awesome cars, good riding, quiet, with an enduring handsome styling. I drove my first one of those in seventh grade (farm town life).

*Sniffle* I remember when cars had a definitive unique character and didn't look like they were all styled using the same basic suppository shape...
