I have a non adjustable carb on a tecumseh 6 hp lawnmower. I pulled the carb and completely cleaned it. The mower is running fine at low speed, but slightly starves for fuel at high speed. When warmed up (5 min) it runs fine. I noticed that when I loosen up the plastic covered bottom screw on the carb 1/2 turn the engine runs perfect, but there is no spring on this screw to keep it from falling out. What do I need to do to fix this problem. Thanks Bob

Post the engine model number, however it sounds like this is a series 7 carb and the O-ring in the bottom of the carb has collapsed. Have a good one. Geo

I'm not sure which gasket you are talking about. Is it an o-ring or a gasket? thanks

I think the carb info is on about page 8 in the manual below. Have a good one. Geo

thanks for posting the manual, Geo. I looked for the answer but did not find what I was looking for. Could you please be more specific as to which o ring needs to be replaced. I know there is a red straw in the middle of the carb and it has an o ring on the top and the bottom, are those the o rings that you think need to be replaced? Thanks Bob
