My son's running a xxxt With a GTB and 13.5ss. Building him another xxxt with the extended chassis, all graphite, and all titanium. I have a chance to get a Novak Havoc w/ 8.5 motor on a trade. We run offroad, I've read there are some limitations to the Havoc. I would rather have a GTB, but don't have the money. I have an extra 13.5 ss motor, that I could take the 8.5 off and put 13.5 on Havoc. Any comments, suggestions, or advice from anyone that has had one,has one, or just know someone that has both, or used both??? Any opinions , highly appreciated!!!!!
Thanks:thumbsup:

I am using a Havoc with a 17.5 in a touring car and after experimenting with a few setups, it is working great.Going to try one in dirt oval this summer with both 17.5 and 13.5.
Can't do a comparison, i haven't used a GTB, but like my Havoc and can't complain.

Not too sure just what you are asking....;)

What "limitations"?

The Havoc Spec 2s esc's motor limit is 8.5, but it works well with all Novak's higher wind spec motors---the SS Pro series. In fact, we also offer Havoc Spec Brushless Systems with the higher spec winds.

We do offer factory re-manufactured GTBs (w/new 120 day warranty) for @110 here:

Basically Novak, I was asking how the Havoc stacked up against the GTB, Although I think 8.5 would be fast enough indoors, off-road, from what I understand the limitation would be going with a lesser wind than 8.5. I kinda figured I could use the havoc and a 13.5 to power another stock, but was still unsure about the lower turn motors. I know the Havoc was budget-minded to get people into brushless, I just wondered what was taken away to make them cheaper, and if I would be sacrificing anything with using the Havoc, other than a GTB. I like my other GTB, but don't have the money for another one. Oh well, the story of our lives!!
