View Full Version : Dave Mease Memorial Race
TBRC3 03-24-2009, 12:36 PM Well all i have very good news here. As you all know glen burnie stopped the oval program that also ment the Dave Mease Memorial race too. Well here the good news.thanks to me talking to a few people its back and will be happening on the 25th of Oct. The even better news is its going to be held in frederick at the Coliseum. Yes on the indoor Ashalt track. So from this point on i'm going to work on things to make this event bigger and better then ever. As Always there will be a 50/50 going on then and Casey is helping out by seeing what he can do in the door prize department and i will work up and official fly and post all the details soon on classes and everything else. So keep checking back with me and i will hopefully see alot of you there
TBRC1 03-24-2009, 06:38 PM With it being March 24th there's alot of planning time and that should make this the biggest Dave Mease race ever:thumbsup::thumbsup:
JH Racing 03-24-2009, 06:40 PM Great news my new car went out today.
abdule 03-24-2009, 08:56 PM Thanks, George Mease. Awesome track.
TBRC3 03-24-2009, 11:07 PM you know me dude i will make it big
TBRC3 03-26-2009, 01:59 PM ok i'm working on the flyer but if i'm thinking right. i figure we will have 4 classes running and they are trans am ,21.5 lipo with roar legal rules and. 13.5 4 cell. and losi late model class.i will announce the cost later on.
gindlmi 03-26-2009, 04:33 PM is 4 cell going to still going to be around in late Oct?
abdule 03-26-2009, 06:17 PM 13.5 1 cell
TBRC3 03-26-2009, 07:20 PM i would love to say 1 cell lipo but a few of the racers that will be there dont even have brushless system let alone lipo i want them to be able to race with us that way they can run the 19 turn brushed motors. so here is what i can try to do i can see if we get enough interested in both and maybe split them but we have till oct. to get it al set in stone.
TBRC1 03-26-2009, 09:33 PM 3 now keep in ind I'm ready for 13.5 4 cell.....21.5 lipo....17.5 lipo OR 4 cell. Then there's losi mini late mod. Any chance of 13.5 lipo 1/10 late mod LOL just kidding.
gindlmi 03-26-2009, 10:46 PM Toby+ 17.5 lipo= OMG
JH Racing 03-27-2009, 06:38 AM I'll be there for 21.5 lipo and if people want to run it 17.5 lipo.
mannnn 03-27-2009, 09:34 AM good luck in 17.5 lipo cmon:wave:
TBRC1 03-27-2009, 11:15 PM Mike 17.5 lippo and me not to bad ..................what should scare you is me+13.5 lipo on dirt :eek: .................heck it scares me ..........NOT
mannnn 03-28-2009, 11:39 AM i have ran 21.5 at this track and its fast cant wait to c u run 17.5
TBRC3 03-30-2009, 10:21 PM no bad thing is me 13.5 lipo on any surface lol
abdule 03-31-2009, 08:30 PM until you have tried 13.5 1 cell lipo, don't say it's to fast. wait 'till you try 21.5 2 cell Lipo, hold onto your wig! I would think by the time this race comes up, you will most likely see more 13.5 1 cell...........
Jamie Hanson 03-31-2009, 08:37 PM I agree. I know a bunch of guys in Ohio as well as up at Marshalls are running 13.5 single cell lipo. Also, single cell lipo is going to change in the near future. They are trying to do away with the voltage booster issue.
21.5lipo is only maybe .1 tenth a lap off 13.5 4 cell times.

Jamie - How the heck are you?

TBRC1 04-01-2009, 04:06 PM Untill I see one cell 13.5 on the track it just does'nt sound fast or interesting to me. Once I see it it might change my mind...................Remember folks I have been on dirt running 2 cell lipo and 13.5 motor in a late model. I'm just getting used to that speed ...it equals as best I can see old 6 cell speed with either a stout stocker or a 19turn brushed motor.
gindlmi 04-01-2009, 04:52 PM toby I think you will change your mind after the strand this weekend
TBRC1 04-01-2009, 05:45 PM could be but it still feels like "here we go again" when technology sprints ahead of us yet again.
TBRC3 04-01-2009, 08:37 PM ok the way it sound is that 19 t brushed motors 13.5 4 cell and 21.5 lipo run about the same times if that right then we will do 13.5 1 cell and mix the others in with 21.5 lipo
abdule 04-01-2009, 08:52 PM 21.5 2 cell is faster than 13.5 1 cell, come on Toby get with it. Jamie have you tried the booster from TQ or are you using a receiver pack? The booster is awesome.........
TBRC1 04-01-2009, 08:57 PM Looking for the book ...................."Lipo Racing for NmHi dependant drivers"...............Or just "Lipo racing for dummies". Either of these seen at barnes and noble ??? or any other large book store ?:confused:
Jamie Hanson 04-02-2009, 12:15 AM 21.5 2 cell is faster than 13.5 1 cell, come on Toby get with it. Jamie have you tried the booster from TQ or are you using a receiver pack? The booster is awesome.........
I have yet to run 13.5 single cell..... I know a few people have boosters on the Market. Novak has theirs coming out shortly. But I will get the OHP model. I think he may have some in stock already.
TBRC3 04-14-2009, 07:49 PM ok i have talked it out with the track we will run these classes

abdule 04-16-2009, 08:54 PM $ 30.00, what are you thinking...............

Since the entry is so high is this going to be a cash race?
signman501 04-20-2009, 09:53 AM I think Toby and myself and maybe we can get some more 13.5 lipo LM racers into this mess and have some fun times. I would like to get into some pancar stuff this winter. But I like to run a bit faster.
TBRC3 04-20-2009, 02:39 PM half of the entry free goes to chaity
signman501 04-21-2009, 09:02 AM I would like to run this race but I only have lipo's, so if they run a 13.5 1c or a 17.5 2c I'll have to join in.
abdule 04-21-2009, 02:58 PM 13.5/10.5 sounds good....................:p
TBRC1 04-21-2009, 08:20 PM HHHMMM 17.5 lipo pan and 13.5 lipo LM could be fun. I wonder what tires would be good on the LM since on pan cars carpet foam works better ??
TBRC3 04-21-2009, 09:32 PM hey dont add classes i can only aford so many trophies
TBRC1 04-29-2009, 08:36 PM WHOOPS we slipped off.........................darned banana peel
JH Racing 05-07-2009, 09:03 AM Can we get the classes that will be run so we can or at least I can prepare for this race.
TBRC3 05-08-2009, 09:16 PM 21.5 lipo (if one show wanting 13.5 and 19 t 4 cell they run with 21.5)
13.5 1 cell
trans am
and stock losi late models
mojoman 07-23-2009, 10:28 AM 21.5 lipo (if one show wanting 13.5 and 19 t 4 cell they run with 21.5)
13.5 1 cell
trans am
and stock losi late models
We should probably throw in a 17.5 2s class too.
Suggested classes:
-17.5 2s lipo
-21.5 2s lipo or 13.5 1s
-4wd 21.5 lipo ie: Nastruck, Trans Am, etc. (rules to follow)
-Losi Late Models/Sliders
Let's get some input from you guys.
Thanks,
Casey
signman501 07-23-2009, 11:19 AM Need to look at the new Tour rules. New pan car rules that a lot of tracks are using for 2009-2010 season. 1s lipo, COT body. Most of the other tracks around the area seem to be using these rules. I want to know what is going to happen here as to whether I even bother doing a pan car or just stay on the dirt thru the winter.
TBRC1 08-17-2009, 08:31 PM Hey folks how are things going with plans for the race ??? I have been on the dirt ALOT over the past few months to the point that the lumps of dust in the shop might be my pan cars :rolleyes:
boomer21 08-17-2009, 11:01 PM am in for 21.5 2 cell and 17.5 2 cell..what is the batterie rule for 17.5 2 cell
cwinters 08-20-2009, 12:26 AM I would like to be at this race, but I am thinking that 13.5 & 10.5 1c would be my preference.
Chuck

ChuckI'm with you 1s 10.5 please make this one of the classes.
signman501 08-24-2009, 02:34 PM Toby you going to spend the winter at Bumps? I'm looking that way.
sc2002gtp 08-24-2009, 09:42 PM 10.5 1s
cwinters 08-24-2009, 10:22 PM TOUR rules?
Chuck
abdule 08-25-2009, 02:45 PM "don't need no stinkin' rules" :drunk:
TBRC1 08-25-2009, 02:52 PM Signman it's looking like ALOT of dirt time this winter.
As for the rules at Frederick whatever they decide I will follow......I do feel that these TOUR rules might be the ones to follow. It keeps it simple and unless I'm wrong the "new" ORL looks to be following the same or very simular. Then there's the possibility of getting new racers from the TOUR and ORL worlds.
boomer21 09-06-2009, 09:11 PM any word on the class's
