View Full Version : Racing in Iowa!
dizzy 03-23-2009, 10:43 PM Here is the schedule for Ft. Dodge and Algona, the two tracks are about 45 minutes apart and always race on the same weekends so you can hit both tracks and have an action packed weekend of racing, Algona also races electric, Ft. Dodge would like too. Algona has lights so later in the year we race under the lights and that is cool all in its own, if you have not raced under lights before, you have to come and try it, both tracks charge $10 dollars to race the 1/4 scales and $5 to race an electric cars. Pretty cheap from what other clubs are charging. Both tracks run a season points standing and give out trophies at the end of the year at a drivers banquet. Electrics get trophies at the end of the night also.

dizzy 03-26-2009, 08:51 PM No fair..... Clemenade. Practicing! What is that? Who were the 3? I still have to paint my body, guess I better get in gear.
Big Show, The cops may have looked at you kinda strange if you told them you were going to run around the track, my yougest rides his big around the track. Next time bring the car and a couple more racers so we can trade some paint. THe setup are pretty close for sportsmen so it does not take much to go backand forth, I don't know what it takes in other classes.
BIGSHOW 03-26-2009, 08:53 PM lol they may have looked at me strange but i moved away from iowa 12 years ago so atleast they wouldnt know me anymore! lol

kearn 05-10-2009, 06:58 PM Hello everyone
thought I would you know we were able to get the track resealed and the traction is awsome. Hope to see you when you can make it
Darrell
Curt V 05-10-2009, 08:55 PM This is the best I have seen the Fort Dodge track in years. As Darrell mentioned the traction is unbelievable and the bumps don't seem as bad off 2 and down the backstretch. Congrats to the Fort Dodge group on fixing the issues.
Curt
