Excellent work Thor, that's a HUGE!!! Pave Hawk in the background, is it a kit? and if so which?

Thanks Knight.

The Pave Hawk is kind of a kit. It belongs to my son and took about 10 minutes to snap together. It's one of those 1:8 or 1:16 pre-painted jobs. I can't remember the manufacturer, but its the one with the clear plastic box ... almost like a toy, but they do have some nice details.

I'm an idiot,...sorry Thor! I would have sworn it was the Academy kit...

How the Sub coming?

Thanks Thor, It looked bigger than the Academy and is clearly bigger than the FS, mute point as it's probably not available here in the UK.

On the FS has anyone considered melting down the stubs as opposed to gluing? seems a plausible solution on the windows

Not a problem Steve ... The 'Hawk does look like a regular kit when it's done. Easy to confuse in a photo ...

I'm almost ready to seal the hull, mask and paint. All I need is a #2 screw and nut for the "battery access". Ace Hardware has what I need ... just need to get to the store and get a batch.

I think heat bonding would be even messier that glueing...
Mine still needs a little love around the windows...

The 'Hawk might not be available in the UK, but you should be able to mailorder one from Hobbylinc (http://www.hobbylinc.com/model/model.htm) they carry just about everything. I'll get the manufacturer and part number for ya as soon as I can ...

Knight1966 ... new info on the Pavehawk. Check out this site: http://smalljoes.com/cgi-bin/pgen.cgi?Stage=10&CatId=64&Item=EFPAVEHAWK you should be able to mail order the Pavehawk or other items.

You need to be carefull where you put these big Subs!
my fish have been acting a little funny...

Then yesterday I realized what was causing the problem:

This is the view from the fish tank. The Parrot has a problem with the FS-! and the Seaview too...

Hi Steve,
Excellent work, how did you acheive the black trim around the view ports?

Thanks! for that part I used a paint pen, very easy to get a good result with those.

Michael's sell's 'em pretty cheap. I try to have one in all the primary colors for quick jobs.

There's a bit of a Watchmen vibe on the bow shot there ...
