Would you pay 2K to get your hands on a Tata?
Somebody was going to say it, I figured it might as well be me...!

Not bad for 2 grand. Just for sh&#ts and giggles I'd like to see what a domestic company could offer for that price. Maybe a mirror! My biggest worry would be getting blown off the road by drivers here in the states.

I think it's meant for Urban traffic use, not out in the 'Burbs or on highways. I might be wrong, tho. Small car that not everyone would really fit in, by the looks of it.

I don't think it would pass safety regs for use here in the US

not without airbags, at least

Think I'd prefer the Mitsubishi iCar http://cache.jalopnik.com/cars/images/mitsubishi_icar.jpg.

Kinda cute looking, damn narrow (think old Morris Mini width) but ideal for round-town commutes. Although your average Yank Tank would prolly drive right over the top of it without realising :D

So, kinda like the old VWs! :) Hey for $2k, it's not too shabby. In overall concept, size and performance, it's also reminiscent of the postwar Citroen 2CV, although that minimalist car (the first production models had a NINE-horsepower engine) was originally intended mainly for rural use.. . . Small car that not everyone would really fit in, by the looks of it.Indians are short! :p

First, would you want to ride in a car that would loose a crash with a Yugo?
second, I am 6 ft 3 in. I would have to remove the front seat and the roof, aka Arnald S.
third, I most likely would overload the car at 225 lbs.
forth, the 0-60 is checked with an hour glass.

the engine on my motorcycle is most likely 4 times the size.

I'd buy one to carry in the back of my truck in case I broke down.

I think I'd rather prefer crashing in the Indian car than with your motorcycle. ;)
