View Full Version : Anyone For Leftovers? A New WIP
ClearHooter 03-21-2009, 10:01 PM The Ferrari GTO opener project left quite a few dismembered parts laying around. The HONDA Concept, A GTO's front end. Also a Camaro roof that I had. Now just figuring out how I want to arrange them. Here's two ideas.

yep...i see twin motors skinnys on front and mudder tires on rear. would make a great mudder or sand blaster.
ClearHooter 03-22-2009, 10:27 AM "Torpedo's" really confused as to what the application of this one's going to be. Its funny watching him walking around the layout scratching his head and muttering in Italian. Its really got his goat 'cause he don't even know where to sit yet. :p
ClearHooter 03-22-2009, 07:00 PM Thought finding some wheels might help decide fore and aft....Not yet. Have decided to put Lake Pipes down the side. Just not which way to turn them.

zeb41 03-22-2009, 07:38 PM Boy CH, that's a tough decision. I'm afraid I'm no help to you here either, although I think that the more I study your photos, the more I am leaning to the version you have with the Honda up front. This should be an interesting build.
JasonZ 03-24-2009, 09:58 PM That is an awesome design! Good luck and good work!

"Design" might be a stretch of the term. As seen, parts can be moved to make a different car from the same parts. In that sense it is designed. But eventually parts availability will win out over "design." The windshield determined "The Dart" or "The Raven. I could make the latter fit.

Rather than hack up another Ferrari, (That's cheating in a scrap build.) I burnished another hood from a good GTO.

Hopefully the Camaro will supply the interior.
I've still got to work up a front axle and cut the center of the HONDA out to try an clear the winshield. Other wise I'm goint to have to set these seperately. Don't want to do that.
ClearHooter 03-31-2009, 07:28 PM These are the parts

BudJ63 03-31-2009, 07:30 PM That came together pretty cool, CH! Can't wait to see some color on it!
harristotle 03-31-2009, 11:37 PM I love to watch your builds in progress.
sschevyman1 04-03-2009, 07:28 PM Doing North Carolina proud!!!
ClearHooter 04-05-2009, 11:20 AM Its in the final stages. I'm in the trim to make fit process right now.
Lummox 04-05-2009, 01:17 PM Sometimes "odd" is a good thing.
It's a safe bet you have the only one on your entire street! ;)
It might look really badass low gloss black and paint those rims black too.
I diggit, man!
zeb41 04-05-2009, 02:23 PM That thing is pretty cool CH. I like what you did with what you had. Seems like that would make a cool competition. Everyone gets a bunch of parts and has to build something from them.

Just like the TV show Junk Yard Wars.
ClearHooter 04-05-2009, 10:27 PM I think I like scrap builds as well as any custom build I do. It would be a great competition. You'd have to use ONLY scrap parts from previous builds, beaters, or make the parts from junk you have laying around. Don't know how you'd regulate something like that.

Maybe parts could be sent to someone who would divide them up and mail them out. Either that or it could be like a Secret Santa thing where you send something to a person who is selected for you.
