For those that are interested these are some pictures I took through a microscope for an article i was going to write for howorld years ago. These pics are of an NOS chassis that I was going to give to a friend to tweak into a fast car and then take after pics to compare what happened to the cars after the process. Unfortunately I was let go from the job I had and lost use of the scope so the project stalled.

I guess I should have told you what each part was.
Pic 1: Lower com hole
2: Idler gear tooth
3: Com face
4: Unknown tooth, maybe a pinion?
I thought I had the chassis clean when I started. Guess I was wrong! I have more if you are intersted but most are hard to tell what they are. Oddly enough the images seem to have faded over time. I didn't think this was possible on a CD but they are less clear than when I 1st took them.

if you space the urls the pics will have a space between them, just post a link, hit enter an then post the next. This will create a space between pics instead of running them all together. ex..
bla bla bla
bla bla bla

Thanks for the tip. After I posted I realized that is what I should have done and added captions too. Next time.

Do you have any pictures before simichome polishing on a gear or axle and after?

Very interesting. I'd love to see some close ups of commutators, especially for the inline cars. Glad to see you've got the picture hosting thing worked out. Sky's the limit now on pictures.:)

Unfortunately I got let go before I was able to finish the project and I have no after pics. One day I hope to find a way to repeat and finish it.

I would be interested... Could be a great mind puzzle. "Know what this is?" Just mho...
Yes unfortunately, data on CD's is not permanent. Just curious, how long ago were the photo's saved to CD? I have read a few 'white papers' on recorded data longevity on CD's.
Lets see the other pics... Please..

I believe the data is about 3 years old. I'll post more pics tonight when I get off work.
