Can anyone please tell me how to extend my scx digital controller wires. Had to turn the control panel to the inside to get my nascars to run in the right direction, but now the controller wires are way to short. Are these wires just plain old telephone wires on the controllers if so easy fix or do they sell longer wires to add on, need anyone could help it would be great.. Thanks in advance

They are definitely not plain telephone wire, if I'm not mistaken. Telephone wire typically on has two wires in it and I think those use like 4 to 6 wires, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't own a digital track system, but again, from what I recall seeing around, I think you can get controller wire extensions....not 100% sure though. Brian at BRS Hobbies might be able to help ya out. His e-mail is brian@brshobbies.com.

Sorry I could not be of more help!

Hello! We're dealers, of SCX I'm not sure, but SCX may have an adapter, to make the controller wirers long and if not, you will just have to go ahead and make them longer yourself. If we find a stock number on the item your're looking for, we will post it or send you a PM. I don't think, that are regular Telephone cords.

NUT,
Check out the SCX Worldwide forums there are plenty of how to's on the site by other members who have done just that on their digital set. Gene

Hello Nut! Like I said in the 1st thread we replied to. If there's no adapter, you can make the extension yourself. It's not hard....all you have to do, is get the same size and color wires, cut them and fit the the lenth. When we do this sort of thing, to anything appose to cutting and replacing....we solder the wires, that way, you not only don't have to worry about the wires breaking lose, but you will have a good solid connection. It's only phone and low voltage wires. You can pick that sort of wire up at Radio Shack or any type of phone or communication store.

You Can Do It....your're a Hobbiest!!! :)
