View Full Version : Monster Scenes bases - which ones have them? Bruce Bishop 03-13-2009, 08:23 PM Which Monster Scenes kits come with actual bases, not just a piece to allow a figure to stand up? Thanks! mcdougall 03-13-2009, 08:53 PM None...The Monsters of the Movies kits, which are the same scale have modest bases, but the Monster scene kits just had little stand up bases... Mcdee ShadOAB 03-13-2009, 10:41 PM The Cage, and the Pain Parlor have large stone floor bases....in up to 3 sections. Bruce Bishop 03-14-2009, 01:34 AM So the Cage and Pain Parlor kits have bases. Anybody know of any others in this series that have stone floor or other floor type bases? Thanks for the info! mcdougall 03-14-2009, 06:08 AM Check out this site for Monster Scenes info...:) http://www.tylisaari.com/models/gallery/ms/ms.htm Mcdee Bruce Bishop 03-14-2009, 02:09 PM Great! Thanks again. :) djnick66 03-14-2009, 02:32 PM I was going to just make an RTV mold of the Hanging Cage base to pour a Hydrocal copy to place the Pendulum on. IMHO the stonework is pretty poorly done so I didnt bother. I will just pour out some Water Putty and carve an appropriate piece myself. Bruce Bishop 03-14-2009, 08:18 PM I'm thinking of making floors and walls with the cheap version of Sculpy. It works well for making flat-ish items and grows harder for quite some time after being baked. I made a nice base and cactus plant for a Hawkman model kit, and really want to try my hand at some more simple bases using this material. It is really easy to use, and cheap besides, and it ends up looking great as a resin or styrene kit base. Hunch 03-17-2009, 01:27 PM Yeah, one of the reasons I came up with "The Parts Pit" and "Dr Deadlys Den" was the lack of bases with the original line. Its nice to have a place to put the Grousome Goodies and such, you know? gaz91 03-20-2009, 12:53 AM CultTvman has a series of base's for the M/S kits (GRAVEYARD SCENES) vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
