I just bought a Strombecker Porsche RS61, and need rear tires. Looks like same size as Lotus 19. Does anyone have recommendations? I emailed Jel Claws, they havn't responded. They only have larger ones listed. Need 3/4" OD. Do you know Strombecker # for them? I found some on the bay, doesn't say what they fit. Thanks

Slot Car Corner carries a brand of tires called Super Tires that is supposed to be great tire replacements for any car:

http://www.slotcarcorner.com/Store/SuperTires/SuperTires.asp

I say Riggen and something about Vintage series cars in there, but what I thought was good is that he gives you the outside diameter and width so that you can compare it to the old Stormbecker tires. Plus, Steve is VERY knowledgeable in all things slot cars and you can always contact him to ask for help on tire selection.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the site, and for trying, but nothing to fit Strombecker. They are a specific tire, because the wheel has a ridge in center, and tire has to have matching groove to fit it.

I see now why you asked about Jel Claws:

Appears that they maybe the only one's that have replacement tires, without finding someone that stocks the originals, if the originals are even made.

Found a few places that try to restore your old tires, but I doubt you want to do that.

Hi,
Try Kevin at http://www.homeracingworld.com/kdracing2.htm

If he doesn't currently make them (he does list some Strombecker on his website) he will do customs for you.
