I am looking at getting a 17.5 brushless system, and I was wondering if there is an actual performance difference (speed) between the standard GTB and the Havoc systems???

i don't beleive you will notice any difference in the 17.5 motor with the esc. At our track running the 17.5 motors guys have won with the GTB and also with the XBR (havoc is the same they sayas XBR)

So, the 17.5 motors that come with the set ups are the same???

The Havoc spec system comes with the 17.5 SS motor which is the same motor that the GTB comes with.

What are you going to run for a battery if i may ask?

I think the only differance between the GTB and havok is the heat sink and the GTB comes with a fan which the havoc has the same plug for the fan but it is not bought witht he speedo.

Mostly from what I can see by the test numbers

BEC Volt/Amp difference, and On Resistance, to me there is not much difference........

The havoc is a SPEC speed control. you cant run anything lower than an 8.5. but a 17.5 you will have no problem. i have it and its great. i run a one cell LiPo. Frankly you cant beat the price. Not even with a stick! Havoc over the GTB. And if you want a fan you can get one. not to sure how much they are tho.
