Nice collection. All I can offer is that I sold 30 of them on Ebay last year in lots of 3 and 4. I think the average was $12 each. Those were still boxed.

Thanks for the info Ward.

My buddy has no clue what to offer for these $2 or $20 each
he doesn't want to insult the seller and the seller seems not
to have a clue of their worth either.

There are lots of these available at toyfairs in europe, relatively few collectors seem interested in pre-world war 2 models so the asking price here is usually around GB£5/US$7 each.Buy them if you really like them, andits ok to offer whatever you feel comfortable with and still have a feeling of a good deal without knowing you cheated your friend

Those Rios are not very desirable if they are not boxed. The Rio models are especially fragile. They have lots of tiny, breakable parts that come off the models easily. Unboxed & unprotected signals to me that they have already suffered some damage - or that they will soon. I wouldn't think more than $5 apiece for unboxed Rios. - ranchero -

I would offer more if in person, then you can inspect them and also not relay on the seller's doing a good packing job. Recent Rio Cadillacs went for $7 and 8$ in the US on epay, so the estimates above look very reasonable.

If your friend does not know these cars, then he will not really know what is broken off or missing. So $5 to 10 each including postage sounds about right to me. Those are very nice models and would be a great way to start collecting classic 1/43 cars!
