Well, I figured we would make an offical thread for the track now. Today was the first day we were able to get it cleaned up and started playing with cars. Temps were cold and we decided to see if foams would work since BSR is just finishing up there new summer time Cap production run.

Track was very smooth and fast. We need to get lines painted on the track so you know where you at and when to turn in, Walls are hopefully going in sometime in the next couple weeks depending on weather. We hope to get a few people out in April to give Feedback and suggestions for improvements. Pictures will be added to the site as they come in.

We are really looking forward to having a few big shows with limted schedule for 2009.

I had some people ask a Odd Question so I figured i will address it here.

Just an FYI
We will make sure that we can still have short track racing on the front straight away. We measured it today and we can pull off a 190 ft oval on the straight away being 12 ft wide straights. So we can also run that format during the season. We will paint the track to allow this short track racing.

One thing to mention, the turns have 54 ft between them on the inside line. so they are very high speed and allow the car to transfer the weight fully and stay ttransfered to the right front. Keep this in mind when choosing front srpings.Track is smooth so no need for Velo Fronts. Smoother then most of the carpet track i have seen. The line from entering the corner until you leave the corner is 84 ft long.

If we can catch a break in weather we will be finishing construction soon. I will post some pics when i can.

We are installing a Offroad track and a Dirt oval on the Right side of the building in addition to the concrete oval track.

Since this is all new walls going in place and will be painted we are offering companies the ability at a very low cost to Purchase a 8 Foot Section of wall to have thier Company Logo Paint on it. If you want to grab a space on the out side walls for your company shoot me an email.


All But 12 Are Available to hold your companies name.

Also we will have 6 Main points with plenty of electrical hookups available.

Here is Turn 3 With the Camera Level, to show the banking.

Outside Walls, they are forgiving. They can move about 1/4 : when you kick them and they will return to normal position after the hit. Somewhat forgiving and they are 12" high and will be painted white.

Traveled out to Somerset today to check out the track for the first time. All I can say is WOW! What an unbelievably smooth concrete surface. I cannot wait to turn some laps. When Shawn is done revamping this place it will be a premier R/C venue!

We got Turn four done. and some of the front straight. Tomorrow if the rain holds off. We will be able to get 1-2 finished and hopefully the Driver stand is going in this Week.

I hope that I can get some people out for a mock race. The Track will not disappoint.

Looks like we are going to watch it rain for 2 days and then I hear we may have a flew snowflakes dropping on wednesday. This weather is great in a way because we have great summers. But it sure delays us in the progress to finish construction.

Is there a weekly race schedule?

I will post it soon we will not be racing weekly on the concrete track more like twice a month.

I am currently working on the schedule and planning the grand opening race on the 16th Of May. This will be a Racing Stimulus race, The Entry fee is going to be free. To promote the track and allow us to get some feedback on the operations and facility.

Stay Tuned....... We are running a little behind because of weather. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the next 15 days.

Looks like we have a half day to make the donuts! LOL we hope to get some construction in before we get the rain/snow they are calling for. WHEN IS SPRING GOING TO TAKE HOLD!!!!!

95 % of all the walls are finished Just working on the Pit Lane and the Driver stand Next. Weather is GREAT and the Track is really coming together!!!!:thumbsup:

Here is another Construction PIc. That is a Crew Cab Dodge Dually in the Pic for Size Reference. The Inside Line on this track comes out at 403 ft The outside Line against the walls are 575 ft. Plenty of room to recover at those speeds with out breaking or hitting the walls..... Wide and FAST!!!!! Traction is perfect. you couldnt ask for anything as smooth and grippy Hope to have more pics soon!!!

This Closes out our 2009 Outdoor Concrete Oval Season, We are currently working on a deal for an old Skating Rink for Carpet indoor season 2009-2010. We will keep you posted. But it will be a large Flat Track oval and on road racing.

The driverstand will be going in next and then we are all set!!! Weather up here is Great!

Well the rain stop enough to get some post in the ground. here is another construction picture and it doesnt show much. But it will be good to have once the track is done!

Well many do not beleive how smooth this track is. Here is 5 rounds of 7 minutes on a brand new chassis. Set at .215 ride height.

WOW Looking good surface! How far are you from the other track that we dare not talk about?

LOL, 162 mi – about 2 hours 48 mins from the "--------" Hobbies Track in Ohio.

When are the flowers being planted?

i keep planting the BSR used caps around the track. We have had enough water from the rain, but no flowers yet.

ok well here is the view from the top of the driverstand. it is finally going in place. once it is finished I will get you a picture of it from the front. right now the decking is only half way up. but this will show you have a good view of the track. Most people can drive this track well from the ground so being up 14 ft does not hurt!!!!:thumbsup:
