JUNE 27TH AND 28TH 2009
Plan on coming to The Carolina RC Complex in Easley, South Carolina because “we’re gonna pitch a wang dang doodle” of a race! With the Quarter Scales, 10th Scale Nitro Pan Cars AND the Electric Pan Cars, all trying to conquer Donnie Burnett’s asphalt oval in an attempt to become the first winner of The Outlaw 250.
Sponsored by:
Mobile Hobbies – J and M Hobbies – The Hobby Connection – GASCAR - RC-Oval.com
$125 to win - $75 for second $50 for third - $100 bonus for
each additional Main win
$25 for TQ!
Classes: ¼ Scale - .12/.15 Nitro Pan Cars - .09 Nitro Pan Cars –
21.5 LiPo Electric Pan Cars
All for the LOW entry fee of ONLY $25.00
Nitro racing is at a point where it “needs” its own major event. An event centered around the gas cars instead of them being piggybacked onto someone else’s race.
But we are not going to do it without the electrics! There will also be a 21.5 / LiPo Class.
The Race Format:
3 qualifiers for all classes
Quarter Scales will run a 250 Lap Main
.12/.15 Nitro Pan Cars will run a 250 Lap Main
.09 Nitro will run THREE 75 Lap Mains (points will determine the overall winner)
21.5 / LiPo class will run THREE 4 min mains. (points will determine the overall winner)
PRACTICE ON FRIDAY
Qualifiers on Saturday and the first round of Mains for the .09’s and the 21.5’s
Sunday: Quarter Scale Main - .12 / .15 Main – Mains two and three for the .09’s and 21.5’s
RACE RULES
The Quarter Scale class; will use QSAC rules.
The .09 pan car class; will use RC-Oval rules.
The .12/15 class; will use GASCAR rules.
The 21.5 class; will use the rules that they go by at Carolina RC Complex.
These are the same rules that everyone races under every week so there will be no changes and no surprises.
DON’T MISS THIS ONE

Is there a schedule of the event laid out yet?
nickbell1390 05-25-2009, 05:40 PM Your going to have to ask Mclin that one. I'm not sure. I would venture that we are looking at friday practice, saturday morning practice with racing starting at 12 or 1 (i'm just guessing tho), and sunday starting earlier to allow for people to travel home.

Remove Sway bar and add side shocks and it may be ok! oh forgot about the beam from end. That may be a problem.
Larry B 05-26-2009, 12:32 PM Nick, I think Mclin is going to let Donnie set the schedule. This race was scheduled before he decided to take a break from RC. Here is a pic of what he is up to now.
ScottH 05-26-2009, 06:51 PM What tha'??
McLin 05-27-2009, 07:05 PM Yeah, you can't leave me alone for a minute!
What I'm doing is learning "primitive skills" so the Godfather will not have any problems dealing with that Little Red Ridding boob when I come back to racing!
Hope everyone has a good time at the 250, I hate that I have to miss it.

Can't believe your high school clothes still fit. LOL
bush87 05-27-2009, 09:09 PM Scott, We are working on a time for the race and practice.
McLin 05-27-2009, 10:30 PM Yep Gary, you caught me. Had to walk 5 miles one way to school each day and it was up hill both ways.
Fl Flash 06-07-2009, 07:13 PM Cant help but notice since that pic of Mclin was posted this thread has drifted back............
ScottH 06-07-2009, 07:38 PM It contributed to sudden blindness in a lot of racers.
nickbell1390 06-07-2009, 07:43 PM that explains why i havent been able to drive for two weeks.....
