Races are 3 heats and a Main
samgkd 03-07-2009, 10:12 AM I'm in if I can find a battery.
Sam
samgkd 03-08-2009, 07:06 PM I found a battery and converted my car over for Sat night racing. What a good time I had last night!!! A speed a little slower than 21.5/2 cell lipo. Tire wear was minimal. There were five of us and all the lap times averaged around 4.5s. The racing was real close, the driver won, not the car.
From the comments made last night, this is going to be a great series/class.
BoneSpec 03-09-2009, 06:35 AM open tire rule, but I'm still running spec tires.
PERFECT class IMHO.
Anyone wanna buy some Spec Packs or Spec Motors?
samgkd 03-10-2009, 05:12 PM Hey Guys,
Ready for some 13.5/1 cell fun this Sat? How about Bullit and Brad, ready to convert and join the fun?? Terry showed some interest, maybe we can get him hooked before the gocart season begins. Jeff seemed to like the tad slower speed so hopefully he will convert also.
John showed some interest in running with us. How about Eli, Monti and John running with us. We might need a breakout rule for those boys or maybe they can wear a patch over one eye. HaHa!
At 13.5/ 1 cell speed, having eight cars at a time on the track would be good pratice for everyone to tweek their driving in traffic skills.
Sam
BoneSpec 03-10-2009, 05:15 PM I'm hooked, but might not be racing this weekend, about a week behind on transmission work plus have two jobs out of town in Columbus.
Sam, might even have a job in your neck of the woods, guy lives right off exit 72 and I-75 around Troy.
EricL 03-22-2009, 11:12 AM hmmm.... gotta work on my car this wknd after race. gonna go over every nook n cranny to find my speed that I'm missin. driveline is not where it should be either. gonna have to practice with that too!
EricL:(

EricL 04-21-2009, 06:46 PM what do you think about 10.5 single cell?!?!?

EricL

EricL 09-04-2009, 07:47 PM anybody wanna trade paint?!?:wave::wave:
samgkd 09-04-2009, 09:14 PM Yeah,
I'll leave a big black tire mark on your driver's door when I pass you.
HEHE
BoneSpec 09-04-2009, 09:33 PM Yep, need to check out my front bumper.........as I drive THROUGH you :)
Honestly, Haven't touched the car since before the BRL, the dust must add 2 oz.
samgkd 09-05-2009, 09:55 AM Been lookin at a way to pick up some more speed.
Like moving some weight around on my chassis so I can run with out a LF tire. That should give me less rolling resistance and increase speed......hmmmm where did I lay that cutting tourch.
Hey Chip,
Picked up a second gen3, 10.5 motor, big 1 cell lipo. Ready for some high speed demo derby?
Sam
John Foister 09-06-2009, 01:19 AM anybody wanna trade paint?!?:wave::wave:
Yes I do!!!

When Novak releases their Havoc 1s I will be. As soon as I seen Tower or Horizon list it in stock I'm headed to the shop to order. I think 10.5 fat single cell will be easier to control off the corners, 21.5 two cell was a bit much for me, it's moving to VTA car.
I've done little for 5 months, need to get to wrenching!!!!........HELP CHUCK!
EricL 09-18-2009, 04:33 PM Guess what folks,
The season is about to begin and its time to get everyone to dust off there stuff, and make way out to the track! We have "NEW" carpet now and it needs to have a new groove put on it!
Some rules have slightly been modified to meet the needs of many classes...
However, I can tell you that the type of traction compound has been reduced to running 'Jack the Ripper' ONLY!!!
No Paragon allowed on the track. (No big deal really).
So, also on a side note... We are hosting the first race of the BRL series (Thanks to Chuck & Chuck K) and the event will be held on October 17th, and 18th of 2009!!!!
So to all of you who like to watch some killer racin' come on out ASAP! For more info and details etc, etc...
Call
513-889-3954 and ask for Doug or Ken
...remember, when it comes to racin'...I'm puttin' ya in da wall Chip!!!jk

BoneSpec 09-19-2009, 01:31 AM You have to catch me first :)
I have a few new secret weapons :)
onefastdude 09-22-2009, 01:03 PM I think (my opinion) is that 10.5 single cell will be the prevalent class in oval this year at Tri-state. I think there will be a few racers running 21.5 2 cell, only because they were running it last year to some degree.
BoneSpec 09-22-2009, 05:00 PM 21.5 2 cell is for Vintage Trans Am....single cell for oval.
samgkd 09-22-2009, 05:33 PM I would like to try 10.5 single cell but I hope there is also enough interest for a slower spec class like maybe.......
Novak 13.5 SS or Ballistic motor
SMC single cell 4000 25c battery
BSR spec tires.
Any speed control, radio, servo.
36oz min weight.
Any pan chassis.
Nascar body, 1" max spoiler, no wings, rear cutout allowed.
Something like this for the racer that wants to keep the cost down.
We had a similar class last season and it was mildly popular.
BoneSpec 09-22-2009, 05:44 PM TOUR rules..........my COT body should have came in today.
Sam, I agree......
Kidkartdad 10-08-2009, 09:49 PM Gimme back my 49 tooth!!!!!!
Can I use it when you get it back?
BoneSpec 10-08-2009, 09:52 PM Eric has my 49 and 51 tooth pinions from last BRL.
Kidkartdad 10-08-2009, 09:57 PM I really have no use for those small pinions. My hand wound Novak 13.5 is all torque.
HaHaHa !! Doug,
Kidkartdad 10-08-2009, 10:09 PM I will be running 17.5 TRK this weekend to try and get it dialed in for Justin for the BRL Race. I think this is the last weekend to get ready.
