Hi, I know 21.5 is pretty much a novak only deal wherever you go. For 13.5, there is no official rules yet right? Are most just sticking with the purple motor as a rule? I can save 50 bucks by ordering a combo, was just wondering if this is going by the 21.5 rules, dont want to get the wrong thing and not be able to use it in the future. Or is it run what ya brung at this stage?

I have a novak 13.5 in my 1 cell because I happen to have one from when I ran 13.5 4 cell for a couple months.

I think that is more or less up to the specific track. Both tracks I run at are an open motor rule, so we can run whatever we'd like.

Yeah I hate to try and save a couple bucks here and need another down the road. But basically with the Tekin system im only paying $20 more with the motor so I cant complain if I have to buy another down the road I guess. Just didnt want to show up with a tekin motor at some tracks around here and get the stink eye lol

For the most part 1C is open motors. They all run pretty good, just the gearing is WAY different.

Yeah thats mostly the case around here also, another reason im asking to see whats accepted. What about you Jamestown,Pittsburgh, and east Ohio guys, open?

In Jamestown pretty much anything goes at this point...it's just our own class right now. Rules-free, Jeremy, Me, Ted, and Tim revived stock class with allowing 4 cell 27T, 4 cell 17.5, or 1 cell 13.5. Right now, I doubt any of us would care, but come fall who knows who will make the rules? I mean, we were stuck with a dumb 3400 max lipo in any lipo class besides 21.5...I sure as hell didnt have a hand in that!

We raced 13.5 1 cell Saturday, rules where simple, open body, open motor, open speed control, open battery, open wing, 4.22 max volts at tech. We talked about for the future maybe going to no wing, spoilers only and limiting battery. This is on a 190' flat ashpalt oval.

We run no wing, im thinking of removing the spoiler completely, the car is so calm and planted and im down to 1/4 inch spoiler

I don't think the rules for the tracks in West Pa/East Oh has really been discussed. For right now the guys I know running 13.5 1-cell are using novak pretty much because that's what everyone already has. I plan on just sticking with Novak for now, because that's what I know. Down the line I don't know.

We have a racers agreement for 36 oz. Not worring much about rules, just tryin to get some momentum for 1 cell.

Race director stated his track will be going to 1 cell in 12th sale and SK next month. If some folks aren't ready he will mix the current motor and battery with the 1 Cell cars.

12th scale 10.5 motor, was 13.5 4 cell.

SK 13.5 motor

12th scale is really gonna be fast 1s 10.5 , the guys running 4 cell 17.5 12th at our track were talking this weekend running 1s 17.5 to keep speeds down, tire wear and alot of 17.5's left over without 4 cell 17.5 much any more, and no wings

Birdman, for years the 12th scaler had been running 19T 4 cell, they got tired of round cells and cutting coms. They did some testing and found that 10.5 1 cell would keep them at about the same speeds. This is on a 180" flat ashpalt oval.

Flash, you where fast enough, "maybe you would want to keep the weight in there so the car would be well balanced".
