Hi Scott, I have seen your Tyco 3 wheel conversion and want to know is it as straight forward as it appears? We tried racing cycles last year and they were universally hated. Also did you ever fix that poor riders legs? It has to be painful.

Skimmed right by this one. Steve, it was pretty straight forward. I used the axle holes in the body and had to set up the gear set while assembliing it. There's not a lot of meat for the axle holes so work carefully. I can't remember what gear I put in it. I made the ape bars and sissy bar from paper clips and the rest of the decorative stuff was from the scrap bin and an old chrome skull earring. (yes I used to have my ear pierced...:p) The rider is in a different position and you can see his legs don't line up with the boots. Previously he was in 'cafe mode'. The boots are molded to the engine details so never figured that part out.

The chassis scoots around pretty good. You can play with tire sizes to get the handling down.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Would be cool to come up with a rider that has his arms straight so the ape hangars look more 'ape'. And get rid of the helmet. Oh wait, we can't forget Jack Nicholson... :p

Thanks for the info Scott. Looks like a job for one of my favorite power tools-drill press.

Looks like you can cut the legs off with a cutting wheewheel. Trim the knee to the desired angle and glue the lower leg on.
