Has anyone tried to put sugar water, VHT, Lane Choice or something like this on quarter scale track?

I perfer grape soda. Loads of sugar and its cheap. At least that's what we used back in the day for 1/12 & 1/10 racing.

With 1/4 scales there will be dirt, grass and ants on the track!!! LOL Good ole laid down rubber works best.

Sugar water, grape soda, or rubber should not affect the outcome of races since everyone will run the same track. The bottom line is tire selection and set-up. Everyone in your club has to race the same track.

Traction enhancers will only affect the overall lap times. However, traction enhancers will greatly affect the predictability of a racing surface. In my experience, it's best to leave the grip up to Mother Nature and leaf blowers.

No need for track prep. just car setup. I like to run on tracks that have less bite because it makes it a better race when everyone has to work on setup more. LPR, Ingells, and J and M Raceway are the type tracks that I really like to race on. The are driver tracks and setup also. High bank tracks anyone can make the car go through the corner but when there is no banking or very little banking it makes it fun to drive on.

Back when I ran Karts many years ago we had VHT on the track but I think it changed the track to much through a long run. The track was good and then it faded away kinda like a dirt track when it blue groves. Never ran a 1/4 scale on anything like that. The Nitro cars at Easley make a lot of bite for us when they are having a big race. Not sure what it is in the fuel that does it but it does something.
