I am in desperate need of some help! I've been racing bolink legends for about a year now its a spec class using a 21T spec motor but I can't seem to keep up with the competition and I just can't seem to get the right set up firgured out so if some one could help me with a motor set up and a spur and pinoin set up or any tips and tricks I could use to get back in the competition will be greatly appriciated thanks

Most of the Trinity spec motors and batteries are pretty close. But every now and then you do get a dud. If you are racing against folks who crank up the timing on their spec motor, you won’t have a chance. Found that out the hard way at a big track here in Ohio.

The legal Legend set up that owns several track records, and has won and TQ'd almost every race we've run in the past three years:

Chassis- original non-adjustable ride height.
Loosen the front three chassis braces, leave the rest tight.
Weight- 2 to 3 ounces of lead on LR depending on track conditions.
Tires- BSR spec, gold RR, blue RF, green LR & LF. Paragon on all except RF.
Front springs- Bolink red w/Muddslide red kingpin lube.
Steering blocks- should fit pretty loose on the king pins.
Toe- slight toe out.
Servo- mounted on top of battery tray all the way to the left.
Servo saver- Big Kimbrough.
Bearings- Boca all, except use a bushing for LF outer.
Gears- 81t spur, 21t pinion.
Diff- Muddslide diff balls and lube, tighten until LR doesn’t spin on corner exit.
Motor- F brushes, purple springs, 1500 sec break in @ 2v w/fan. A good one pulls 3.7 to 4.5 amps @ 2 volts no fan.
Battery- Trinity Speed Spec red, 8 amps charge. Mount all the way to the LR.
Deans connectors.
ESC- LRP Q2.
Body- Bolink ‘37 Chevy Coach. Open up the rear quarter side windows.
Bumper- use a Traxxax Revo rear bumper bolted to stock Legend front bumper.
Always check that the king pins and axles are not bent, and the axle plate is not cracked.

Don't listen to Thad..........he's too fast :)

Now I know his secrets!

On my Spec motors I run 4383 Trinity brushes with the stock black springs with an extra 30-45 tweak for more tension.

Thad, still haven't gotten my Legend back together from December race, been having fun with 13.5 single cell Lipo.

Time for some outlaw Legends?
