Especially since Moebius has a submarine line, I'd like to see a Supersized Beatles Yellow Submarine. That would make a nice R/C conversion!
Decals like the original MPC kit too.

Has anyone ever seen a nice build-up of the MPC Yellow Submarine kit?
It was also reissued years ago but I think the decals had censored or omitted the marijuana leaf.

The decal stripes looked difficult to apply.

BatToys, Polar Lights had actually planned a new-tool Yellow Sub to go along with their Beatles Sub figure kits back in day. I believe they abandoned their Sub kit when ERTL reissued the MPC version. Since Round 2 now has access to all of that tooling, they'd probably be the best bet for a new Sub kit, or at least a reissue of the old:

Licensing for anything associated with the Beatles is pretty salty.
Given the fact that the Beatles kits did not sell very well at Polar Lights, I wouldn't even consider producing a new Yellow Submarine kit if it were my decision to make.

Hey Dave, a quick question if it's alright. If not, I understand.

I've always wondered what the Polar Lights Yellow Submarine kit would've been like. I respect that you're with Moebius now (just got the Flying Sub BTW, it's the best thing Moebius has put out, which is saying something), but if you have any memories as to what it would've been like, I'd love to hear. I'm sure many other folks would too.

Makes me wonder if Revell could be persuaded to reissue those early-60s Beatles kits. The lads in their suit-wearing "mop-top" phase. I was but a wee lad when they were issued. My father built them for my sister, who was a screaming teenager at the time.

There never was any work done on a PL Yellow Submarine....Nothing was done as the RC-2 /Ertl announcement came along before we started any real work on the project.

The last I knew about it, the licensing costs involved to do anything associated with the Beatles pretty well precludes any chance that Revell would consider re-issuing the Beatles kits.

Since there seems to be the feeling out there that I've lost my patience with the constant stream of "yes but why don't you do this or why don't you do that" on this forum....
This thread is a prime example of the kinds of questions and suggestions that drive me nuts! Believe me I seriously considered slapping a lock on it right away!
The thread starts right off with an erronious statement "Especially since Moebius has a submarine line" NO we don't have a submarine line!- we DON't have a space ship line - we DO have an Irwin Allen license and some Irwin Allen subjects just happen to be submarines! WE HAVE an Iwin Allen line!

We DO NOT HAVE a Beatles license!
Frank has just explained that we can't just go out and license every property that could be made into a model kit and within two days we get this suggestion.

Sorry if it seem that I don't have a sense of humor. I hope that some of you can see why I get the urge to close some of these threads so quickly!

If someone really wants a more accurate yellow submarine, look for the Mcfarlane YS figures released about 8 years ago.. one included a great YS, which could even float in water, and had a wind up propeller.

While I'd love a larger one, I'm quite happy with the Mcfarlane version. They actually had talked about releasing a 2 up version back in the day, but obviously that never materialized.

Dave, just a brief note of thanks regarding your reply to my PL Yellow Sub question. There had been mention made back then on the PL board regarding a possible new tool being being pre-empted by MPC's release. I appreciate the clarification!

Yep. We still have that one. It went on many a voyage in my Beatle-loving daughter's bathtub when she was a toddler and is still proudly displayed on her bookshelf.
