While Googling for CBTS images recently I came upon a listing of this movie for sale on ioffer.com. Normally I'd be worried about winding up with a DVD copy of a VHS tape but this seller had included some screen caps.; They were of good quality and didn't appear to be copies of something that he had found online so for $10 I decided to take a chance.

Registering with that place was a pain in the ...neck but withing 3 days I had my movie.

While the transfer was a little dark it played fine on my player and computer and the quality was good (although the second this is officially released on DVD I'm snapping it up).

I took a bunch of screen caps and uploaded them to my photobucket page. You can find it here:

That's pretty neat!

However it is heart breaking seeing the Jupiter two(s) all cut up, on top of the underwater towers:freak:

I want to chime in with a thank you for posting the pics! It's been decades since I saw the movie (and my rigid code of not buying bootlegs keeps me from going for this) and much of it came flooding back into my brain. The number of subplots, all of that...and the stuff I didn't remember, like the 'tour', one of the 15 or so times the show ground to a halt to throw exposition at the viewer.

You can tell it's THE FUTURE, the suitcoats have no lapels! :)

I look at Pacifica and you know, I think there's more J2 hulls then there were filming minis. Think it's possible they still had the 'bucks' for the hull and they just pulled more copies specifically to cut up and use as buildings?

Man, the 'forced perspective background' in those New York shots seem pretty obvious now. Guess that's the fabled 10 ft. J2 right up front there, huh?

*sigh* I know it's corny as heck, but I really would have loved to have seen CBTS as a series.

iDmonster, this is a gold mine. How about some grabs of key vehicles...Aquafoil, Seaview, etc.

As far as dedicated Aquafoil stuff - except for the scenes where it was cruising over Pacifica their all Voyage retreads.

HTH!
