Whats up guys. I have an evader and recently put a brushless motor in just to chase those neighborhood cats a little faster.. ha ha anyways the differential gear got chewed up from the inside out. i looked up online you can put a B2 diff gear in there so i bought one and a new diff bearing set, thrust bearing set and the drive rings, but i put it all back together and when i put the trans on the truck the drive shaft hits the diff nut holder, the shocks wont even compress because it hits so badly.. i have no clue what the heck to do. Then i went back and read that i needed 5x8mm bearings to go on the diff instead of the stock 5x10 bearings.. i went ahead and ordered the 5x8 bearings but am i putting the diff together wrong for it to be hitting like that? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are you sure the thrust bearing washers are not to large a diameter? They need to seat all the way into the outdrive, and you probably shouldn't be able to see the screw head at all. I've never looked at a duratrax setup, so not sure how it should look. But if the dogbone/cvd end is hitting the thrust bolt that is the only thing I can think it would be.

So measure the thrust bearing washers you got new and the old ones that came from the car that will give your answer.

You need to use only the diff gear and ball's/ring's for the B2 diff. mod. You reuse your duratrax part's for the rest of assy.

(sorry for bumping this one from so far back)
