Thank you for all you do. ROAR is going to miss out on some good money by dropping this, but it will be a better race overall I think.

Thank and see you soon!!

Count me in
21.5 car
17.5 possibly
Thanks, Ken Schauer

The race will turn out better , and cheaper without those "Other" people anyways.

I personally will never in my life sign up for another race sanctioned by them. Too much bull to deal with. Rule for this, rule for that, just let us race.

ALLAN said rules will be like the snowbirds and Ovalmasters with some minor tweaks.

Not set in stone yet but most likely no freeze, and a to be determined temp for batteries that will most likely be lower than 110. No roof height rule and same battery rules.

No BS like before just good fair common sense racing!

Jesse Bean

possibly 21.5/7.4

I like the "just good fair common sense racing!"

My thoughts have always been "If it fits in the box and doesn't drag on the carpet then lets race it"

I was the Race Director for the 2001 Roar Off-Road Mod Nats here in Clearwater. Lets UNDERLINE Off-Road MOD Nats. They made them run SPEC TIRES. Again off-road MOD Nats. SPEC TIRES????????

Oh Yes I spend my $30 and joined roar again just last week. Oh Well.

Maybe common sense rules will prevail and we can all go back to racing again.

Have fun Guys and Gals hope to see you racing real soon:wave:

Allan-
I dont know about everyone else, but I really dont need an award/trophey for winning, or being in the A-main. If it will save money and helps your track, I say forget about the awards. The pic's with everyone at the end of the day are enough for me. I dont need a trophey to collect dust to know that I won or where I finished. Lets save some money and make this event even better!!

Just my take on it...

Allen, will the event still follow the schedule as before? set-up only on Thursday, controled practice Firday, qualifing Saturday and mains Sunday. I am with J-dub on the awards. Maybe just A-main top three at most. Lets here from the racers on this. Is it dust collectors or race tracks we want?

For all the guys who signed for a ROAR membership for the race.

I was told that if I send my ROAR rule book, stickers and member card back to them they will refund my $$$$ 100%.

Just thought some would like to hear this info.

Just pulled this off the ROAR Web Site:

The ROAR Executive Committee regretfully announces the cancellation of the Carpet Oval Nationals to be held in March of 2009 due to lack of participation. The small number of entrys gathered were processed through Pay Pal through the online registration site. Refunds for the entry fees will be processed immediately through the same method of payment as received.

ROAR and the planned track host are working on a date for rescheduling this event. The track host was compensated the first payment as agreed to in the financial considerations of the National Guidelines and the host agreement submitted by the track owner.
