ok the indoor season is winding down. i was think that we started a spec class indoors why not bring it outdoors. but im stuck on some stuff. should we have a spec roll out? should we have a spec gearing? what tires are we going to use? i love the spec class so much. i hope we can get it out doors. i would like to see if anyone has any ideas. if anyone would run it.
hope we can run it,
seam

Sean since many of us have oldtires that we still can use and that most people run there anyway I think we should use those. I was thinking a COT body to maybehelp slow them down a litlle and then try to find a roll out that would be acceptable asnd still make the racing fun. remember when outside most of us measured both tires and then divided by 2 for tire sixze when figureing rollout so we would have to determine how to figure it so everyone is the same. but I garee with you it is a gas. we could also think about going to the one cell lipo and a 17.5 motor also then we could get away fromt eh fixed roll out and open it up creating a little more racing but still within reasonable prices and speed. personally I like this one cause it would transfer inside easily also.

Once you figure a rollout we can make a rollout board to use for outside like we did inside. I think that the 1cell 17.5 would be great to get going for next carpet season and would solve some other issues most everyone has a lipo charger and the packs are only $55. Especially since they have the voltage booster to plug in so theres no need for a receiver pack.

I agree JR then all we have to do is change the weight to reduce it by the difference of the one cell vs 2 cell most things I have seen on here they are using about 36 ounces for the car weight with the one cell.

I think you should keep the current 3 types of racing, if you keep splitting up the classes we'll all be racing alone. What happens brian if no one else shows up on a sat to run one-cell and you don't have your 21.5 stuff with you, how would you feel to find out you couldn't race that day. I think keep the 2 motors we're running know so the fields will be bigger and nobody gets shut out of racing. Just my 2-cents SORRY!!!!!

I guess i just don't understand with struggling car counts since the end of summer outdoors why the racers would want to add another class and farther seperate what cars are racing. Sorry I don't know that much about the 1-cell but if the club can't get one full class of racers why create more classes and dwindle the car count more. Thats how clubs close there doors. Just my two cents again. I thought the spec roll-out class was doing a good thing by allowing racers who don't work on their cars non-stop to have competetive racing. I myself would rather race side-by-side for 4-min. than see someone hand me a butt whipping by 4 laps. Thats not fun for anybody.
