Well Dan Decker and I got together with the seniors on Saturday. got to give my Portable Max a good workout. People tended to drift in and do a whole lot of laps and gather and chat about how much fun they were having. We did not do any orginized racing at all but we all had a blast. Pete I have a special hug I am too give you for donating the cars for the event and you willbe happy to know the Seniors are going to allote a space for a track full time at the site. Dan and I will gather up our loose track and build them one. there is talk of putting a train system in with it now also so I expect some day in the future to have some very cool shots as we see what some experiance and age can do with a setup. Needless to say I was a walking sleeping man when I arrived but I was wide awake and having a blast before the choir came in and booted us out lol...thanks everyone we will do it again in March for them hopefully with thier own track and I will pass the cars unto them and the other Home if they want to do the same long term track.. Try this out some day guys, its the most honest fun you'll have that day I promise..

That's awesome, good for you Coach, thanks for sharing with us!

To be honest, I have more fun around here when it's just a bunch of us running laps, and laughing our heads off running whatever we may happen to have in our pit boxes than I do running our monthly races.

The good old fashion thrash session with some friends is definitley where it's at, glad to see you're out there passing it on....

That was probably the best therapy those Seniors will EVER have! Great job Coach! I'm glad to hear that the track was a success and will become a permanent part of the community there. Like Slotnewbie said, many of those Seniors, their own kids won't come out and even sit down with them for 5 minutes, let alone spend an afternoon or day talking and racing! You got a good heart there Coach!
