These are modified 1/35th scale figures I am using for the Flying Sub. Capt. Crane is standing, Kowalski is seated with the speargun. Third seat is from scratch.

Steve Ductapeforever 02-22-2009, 05:16 PM I believe they were produced by Dragon at one time. I'm not sure they are still available. WEAPON X 02-22-2009, 05:55 PM Great looking 1/35th figures! djnick66 02-25-2009, 12:28 PM Dragon did a diver or two as part of their SEAL type figures. But I don't think these are those figures. More likely they are the Heller divers from their old Zodiac rubber boat with Frogmen, or the Monogram divers from their 1/35 Underwater Demolitions Boat. Ductapeforever 02-25-2009, 07:39 PM Im sorry my memory is fuzzy as to who made these figures, I have had them a very long time. I seem to remember they came with a Zodiac type rubber raft though. djnick66 02-26-2009, 11:28 AM Im sorry my memory is fuzzy as to who made these figures, I have had them a very long time. They were last issued by Testors back in the early 80s and are quite rare today. They aren't great figures by modern standards, but they are the only mainstream plastic divers and boat figure set ever sold. Lee Staton 02-28-2009, 12:10 AM Old Heller? Wasn't that a movie about a dog?? Seaview 02-28-2009, 01:41 AM Smack! steve123 02-28-2009, 12:04 PM With the flight history the Flying Sub has had. I think no naval Aviator would ever step into the FS-1 without 40 pounds of safety gear, oxygen mask, flight helmet...and yes, ejection seat. Soooo, maybe the figures from the Tamiya 1/32nd scale F4-J Phantom? I'll take pics in a bit....if I can get 'em out wout breaking anything..lol Steve Krel 03-01-2009, 12:41 AM They didn't lose that many Flying Subs. The dangerous vehicles were the mini-subs, and diving bells, Nelson must have bought them by the gross. David. falcon49xxxx 03-01-2009, 03:53 AM only three lost............ vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
