I don't have any European cars, but I found this guy at a swap meet near my house and it caught my eye. I haven't heard of this manufacturer. It's a Mercedes Ambulance made by Siku (W. Germany). The rear license plate reads "MK 301'. It's not in the best shape, but I couldn't pass up the .50 pricetag. If anyone has any helpful info (not interested in value), I would appreciate it.

I'm not sure, but did Siku put the vehicles performance specs on the base?

Don't know a lot about Siku, but I know something about Benzs.
It's what's called a 123 body that was made between '76 and '85.
The ambulance coachwork was done by someone other than Mercedes.

The ambulance is a model of an usaually ambulance in Europe in the-80īs.
We had them in Sweden too, but red and white coloring. I have one of these
models too i a very good condion.
There are specifications on the chassies of mostly all cars in that scale made by SIKU.

Sweet Siku! I remember when I was I kid, there weren't many die-casts available in our country. Someday a family from Germany moved to our street and their son had TONS of Sikus... and we used to play all the time with them. When they moved back to Germany he gave us kids most of them. I think I still have some of them around.
I always thought of Sikus as the most solid and rigid die-cast cars. Not sure why ... maybe because they were "Made in Germany" and German auto industry used to be a benchmark in making cars... :p

I like Siku's, especially their various Porsches. I wish they were a tad smaller on their scale.
