Goodwrench29 02-21-2009, 11:30 PM 2.5 second laps-should be quick:wave:Ummmm, some of us are in the 2.4's:p LOL.
cobra22431 02-27-2009, 03:23 PM Just thinking you should start the white monster outdoor oval thread early this year because of 1S lipo becoming popular. So far at marshalls 13.5 1S lipo is only a lap slower(not a big track) than 17.5 4 cell and they run together and the 1S cars continue to get faster as they find the better setup for the lighter battery and gear for the lower voltage. My guess is they will be even at end of indoor season there. There is a ton of cars in both 13.5 4 cell class and (17.5 4cell/13.5 1S lipo run together) so you have an idea what ppl want and whats working. Not sure what will happen and who wants to run what this year. I never did make it last year because of my back problem but I may have a ride there and a bud with a trailer which would make things easy on my back. All the talk last year about 10.5 4cell and it never did happen I heard. This year may prove more difficult than last year to get everyone together in a few classes. My opinion is you need a fast class and a close to stock speed class and spec if any one still runs that crazy brushed stuff
oval81 03-10-2009, 07:48 PM new class at trax70 white monster is going to be 21.5 2cell lipo
so guys can run here and at jackson same motor anb battery

Anytime72 03-11-2009, 06:25 AM 21.5/lipo class on the concrete will bring the speeds closer to the 19t speeds, you will be looking at 38 to 40 lap runs. That will be too fast for most racers that race there weekly. Another reason that 19t never lasted there. You still will need a slower class as stated in the previous post. At least then the weekly racers will not be tearing up cars and giving up early in the year and hopefully keep the place alive throughout the year. I suggest starting off the year with a class that will work for all and then if there is a need for some that want to go faster let them move up since they will already have the equipment to do so. I also did not make it down to race there this year but would like to make it down a few times this year to get that rush of heading into turn one wide open and seeing the car slingshot through the corner. Nothing beats the feeling of a fast solid 4 min. run at MegaTrak...........opps I mean Trax 70.
oval81 03-11-2009, 07:42 PM walter i understand. but steve nye will be able to handle the speed lol
sc2002gtp 03-11-2009, 07:51 PM I don't understand, everyone was fine running 13.5 and for that matter they don't even have a problem running 13.5 on the Bull Ring which I think is rediculous 2.4 & 2.5's for 6 minutes. Now you want to go from a 75ft runline to a 410 ft. and slow the cars down, something does'nt add up? The main class at Snow Birds was Lipo 21.5, having 3-4 times the amount of entries as 17.5 4 cell (1 cell Lipo 13.5) speed. 21.5 Lipo at 38 ounces (40 ounces on concrete) is basically the same speed as 4 cell 13.5, but the faster run comes from the battery not falling off. GREG HONEYCUTT TQ'ed at Birds 1 lap faster than 4 cell 13.5 TQ, that being on a track with high 3's being the fast lap, so 3.9- 4.0 seconds over 60's laps really is'nt that much different.

boomer21 03-11-2009, 07:59 PM am with u on this one barry.
boomer21 03-11-2009, 08:00 PM 21.5 lipo (3200)
sc2002gtp 03-11-2009, 08:03 PM Boomer, I don't think the battery makes a difference except for the car weight, almost wonder if it would be better to open the battery up to ROAR max and keep the car weight at 43 ounces which should have a little affect on times. Starting at 8.44 volts max means neither pack would have more punch on the front end, just one pack 3200's will fall off a little sooner.
jman91 03-11-2009, 08:58 PM I'm with Barry on this.Walter we all know the guys who should not be running that fast will be the first to sign up for it.Most guys are planning on running Jackson also and want to keep the batts and motor the same.
Anytime72 03-11-2009, 09:31 PM I'm not disagreeing with you 21.5 sounds great but you wonder why you get no racers to support the place during the year. Sure you get your 5 or 6 regulars but where does the new racer start. Barry you know better than that, You get around good there and like beating up on those guys but you know there are bunch of guys who would be better off racing a slower class.
sc2002gtp 03-11-2009, 09:45 PM Walter sent you a PM
boomer21 03-12-2009, 02:50 PM trax70 gets a good amount of guys.maybe there not the best but they get ,a ,b and a few in the c main, and they get a , a main and b main in sk.
