Has anyone raced a 1:10 Pan Car Oval Chassis on a Dirt Oval Track?
If so what adjustments are needed to get around the track?

If so what adjustments are needed to get around the track? twelve 02-21-2009, 12:26 AM Yes! We used to race 1/12 scale on dirt waaaaay back in the '80's, before the Tamiya Sand Scorcher came out. ScottH 02-21-2009, 01:09 AM McLin of Rc-Oval has gotten some interest in Nitro-Pan in the dirt ovals. The initial test has gone very well. http://www.rc-oval.com/component/content/article/34-nitro-series-points/129-09-dirt matt_s86 02-21-2009, 02:02 AM That looks pretty cool...I'd like to try it sometime. Hmm...pan cars at Radio Hill? BudD 02-21-2009, 02:34 AM Oh no...........Fred, Need bodies for Pan Cars Please!!!!! LOL matt_s86 02-21-2009, 02:35 AM Need a Flopper COT body? sbrady#0 02-21-2009, 09:31 AM we ran pan cars on dirt with late modle bodies only adj. was to rasie it up some and tires we used window silcone to make like a cap TBRC1 02-21-2009, 12:22 PM I did this at Bumps and Jumps in PA a while back and it was a blast. I got every bit of ride hiegth I could in the suspention and then used a tall set of purple foams. The foams were grooved and I used a regular monte carlo with a wing on the back window. personaly I would love to see a class for pan cars with late model or bomber bodies on them. It would give my old L3 a new life.....................or maybe the L4  trerc 02-21-2009, 02:04 PM You would groove the tires yourself it's easiest to put the tire on a truer and use a Dremel cut-off wheel to groove them. The fronts grooved just around the circumference the rears both circumference and cross cut. Tire tac is track specific, u name it it's been used, best to find what is hot locally. Here's a pic of what I mean... TBRC1 02-22-2009, 11:32 AM unless I'm mistaken the grooves are about 3/16 to 1/4 deep signman501 02-23-2009, 11:19 AM Cut you grooves no more than 1/16" deep. Use Zip Grip Free which opens the pores in the tire and gives a nice feel. Pan cars could be an interesting class. DrtRcrM87 02-23-2009, 05:22 PM Here you go fellas,we haven't tried them on dirt, but they FLY on carpet.......... for now TBRC1 02-23-2009, 06:26 PM That looks cool...........personaly I prefer a late model body, but that EDM looks sweet.
