I can't help noticing those two great looking girls within the Snowbird ads on the side margins of Hobby Talk. Looks like a great event.

Are there any slot races anywhere where "spoils" like this go along with the competition?!

Have the RC guys got us beat this bad?!

Funny, I was wondering the same thing. The price you pay for being a celler dwelling mutant.

Now there would be a competition for a reality show.

"MAN MADE CHICKS"

... See just how FAAARRRR will these docs go to make the ULTIMAAAATTTE chick.

Who are out contestants today Johnny?

Larry the Cable Guy could host.

The judges should be 20 somethings and could be taken to the competition in one of these.

There is no reason why a HOPRA event (or whatever other 'national' series) couldn't contact a model agency and hire out for a couple of eye candy girls to look pretty and pose with the winners.

Guess you could always check out your local Hooters to see if they'd sponsor an event and provide the candy. You could run the HO HO Hooters 500 or 250. Win some wings or whatever. ;) rr

There is no reason why a HOPRA event (or whatever other 'national' series) couldn't contact a model agency and hire out for a couple of eye candy girls to look pretty and pose with the winners.

This was done at the UFHORA Nats at Lucky Bobs two years ago, although I believe it was strictly voluntary, arranged by some individuals, no sponsorship involved at all, not sanctioned by UFHORA or Lucky Bobs, and the Hooters girls did run some 1:24 wing cars after the presentation ceremony so they were basically just shop visitors. It was all done in good fun, lot of chuckles, with plenty of self-effacing humor to go along with the event. Definitely falls in the category of:

"You know your a slot geek if ...."

Another thing to keep in mind is that slot cars are not an "all boys club" and there are women and girls who participate in the sport at all levels. If a national organization like HOPRA were to "contract" with a modeling agency or hire anyone in this capacity, which they would never do, it would be have a negative impact on the organization's credibility and membership.
