I have a stock e maxx and I want to upgrade the motors. I been looking at kershaw designs revolver 970 conversion kit.Will these motors strip out my transmission? My transmission stripped out with stock motors before. Will this upgrade make much of a difference in speed and power? Are the plastic pinion gears it comes with good or do they need to be upgraded? Any other suggestions like Novak or anything reasonably priced? Any links?

I think you should get the new momba motor from castle creations. I dont think there will be much of a differeence in speed and power with the revolver970. I think the plastic gears will get striped out.

I just picked up a Novak HV system (7.5 motor) , havn't finished install yet. it cost about 275.00 for the system(esc and motor)

Your best bet is to replace the gears with metal ones, makes a difference. I did that with my tmaxx and still have yet to see wear on them. As far as motors decide your intended use for your vehicle and then do ALOT of research about them and other companies. Fantom racing has a great selection of motors. They are quality built and yet have disappointed me.
