Greenlight has about the best steelies I've ever seen in 1/64th.
I think these wheels would look tremendous as chrome reverse.
Mold the wheels in black plastic first, and with a thin plating of chrome, the details of the wheel really >pop<. I've seen this technique on Funline castings and it looks way awesome. The JL chromies need a black wash to make'm look right.
Stick'em on the new '66 Galaxie, hard top version of course!
Anyone with me on this one?

WOW !!! I likey !! The chromies make it...
That WHITE is RIGHT !!! The new paint job is nicely done... the re-application of the chrome parts look great. Is the blue interior from a 67?

Now move over to the CHRY-SLED and lets see a pic of the steelies on that Lummoxaded baby.. please...

"Chry-sled"... ..Oh, I like that one a LOT!!!!! I'm gonna steal that one and pretend I made it up!!! ;)
The front left wheel is the only wheel I replaced on that one. Kinda like the one missing hubcrap look.
The white Impailer is not a re-paint. It was that hippie piece sign POW bedazzled something or other release from 2007. Mucho time-o removing THOSE tampoes!!!
To me, the "non-color" white shows off a car that has perfect lines because it doesn't distract the eye like other colors do.
This is a testament to the good job General Motors did in design and marketing, and testament to the amazing job GL did in getting this casting perfect!!!

Hi Lummox,

That is a nice looking white GM you have there. We actually have had some samples here with chrome steelies that look pretty good and I agree. However sometimes keeping the chrome consistent is tough - if you don't all the details just turn to mud.

That is an interesting thought though putting this wheel on a Galaxy...hmmm. I will have to look into that and maybe put one together here like this to test it out.

Have a good one,

- Matt

I guess you're ahead of me on this one Matt, that's good news.
Hopefully you can get the bugs worked out of it, and I'd L O V E to see the test of the Galaxie with chrome reverse!!!!!!
Thanks for the reply!

Yes, looks great.

The Impalas are one of my favorite Greenlight Castings. I was able to pick up the supernatural release via a trade just a short time ago. Unfortunatley it is a 4 door and not a 2 door like the TV version. Still pretty cool though.
