For those that don't have BBC America, (I don't either), I happen to come across a tv series from England called "Primeval" while searching Netflix. Just finished watching seasons 1 & 2 and loved it. It's about a team of people that trying to figure why time portals, or "anomalies" are appearing and disappearing all over England. At each portal some kind of nasty critter from prehistoric times, and sometimes the future, manages to come through and snack on the local citizens. The special effects are like those from the "Walking with Dinosauers" series. I reccommend this show if you like this sort of thing.

This is an excellent series. BTW, the DVD for Season 1 & 2 (combined) is available on DVD at Amazon. I am just waiting for the price to come down. Although I may get it at DeepDiscount in June when they have their usual 20% off sale.

Welcome to the "Primevals" fan club, Hooty!
This show has been discussed a few time before (http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=238711&highlight=Primevals) but it's still worth reminding folks that it's out there and on DVD.

Same here! It's in my queue (or however the heck you spell it) and should eventually come down a bit. 'Course, I keep holding out the same level of hope for Doctor Who to come down in price.... :(
On the upside, I had picked up a copy of the first season back at Wonderfest '07. Great stuff!

Very enjoyable show. I understand it's a pretty big hit over in the U.K. I'm looking forward to season 3. (Or 'series 3' as I guess they'd call it over there).
