bvis75 02-15-2009, 06:05 PM From what I can tell, the front rivits are painted after the car is assembled. This one was not painted yet. These appear to be factory made, not sign of tampering to them.
Here's what I do know, These are the GM's for "CamaroZ28.com" These were there 2nd car. What I would say is they came directly from the factory to the guy I got them from. Being a Collector of the Concept Camaro, these make great additions to the collection. The guy I got them from had no info as to what series these were from at all. Thanks for the comments so far, lets here some more. OH! and to the best of my knowledge, These are not fakes.

To each his own, but I don't trust these Chinese/Hong Kong dealers. I have been burned several times by them.
But, you know more about these particular cars, so maybe they are real.
JasonZ 02-15-2009, 07:36 PM Nice Greenie buys!
Lightningrick 02-15-2009, 08:19 PM Not saying these aren't fakes, but if presented as samples, these are not samples. All the samples I have gotten from my promos and other don't have a white box.
At best these were picked up early going down the essembly line.

I understand your point here. But here is the great part, for what I paid for the pair, You couldn't make a good custom, lol So I am very happy at that. Also, these were not sold as "Sample pieces" or represented that way, so the seller was truthful as to how he sold. He just had "loose Greenmachines" in the auction. Thanks for the concern. My next move might be to contact CamaroZ28.com and let them know there cers are falling off the assembly line.
Drdealone 02-16-2009, 09:28 AM Those are line pulls and are a nice addition to your collection. I saw you got them at great prices and feel the seller is representing them as what they are and not as samples etc.

FLOYDFROG 02-17-2009, 04:24 AM Looks good with those wheels.
dipstick 02-17-2009, 09:43 PM Odds are highly likely that these were pulled from the factory before final packaging. My guess is that they were obtained illegally as are most of the castings that are being sold this way from HWs, JL and the like.
Personally, not something I would advertise too openly as the Manufacturer legally has the right to confiscate if taken from the factory without permission.....
I believe Mattel went on a rampage for similiar items with their legal team at the Spring 2008 convention - I may have the date wrong.

I think you are correct. There were a couple pre-pros that were on the bay earlier and discussion about them came up at UTH about them. I believe GL pursued them, rightfully so, although I don't know what ended up with them.
There was also a 2010 HW Mustang on the bay back before the real thing had been released and the auction was pulled within hours of being listed.
bvis75 02-18-2009, 10:20 AM Thanks for the concern. I have contacted CamaroZ28.com and am waiting an answer from them. As for the auction, I had no idea what series these were from until I got them. The Seller is not saying, just being sold as loose Greenmachine's. I still have the sellers info if CamaroZ28.com needs it. Thanks and I will let you all know the reply I get from them.
