I would like to take the time to announce my plans of forming a club for q-scale racers here in the southeast. The purpose of the club would be to grow and promote our sport. I have talked to other clubs to get ideas on how their clubs operate. The long range goal of the club would be to build a track in the North Georgia area through memberships, private donations and fund raising activities such as raffles. A portion of monies raised will go toward cook-outs and a trophy presentation at the end of the season. I have spoken to several people involved in q-scale racing and they have expressed an interest in helping form and support the club. Anyone interested and would like to know more can email me at bwqsr@yahoo.com or call 706-202-2611.

Bob,
Just wanted to say thanks for all you are trying to do for our sport down here in the south. We need to get out to different places so people can see the cars and races. I would also like to see us get a parking lot race going here in the south something like they had in Royal Oak Michagan. That is really were we can draw people in. Good Luck and call me if you need any help with anything.

Thanks for your support Jeff. It will take some time to get all of the details worked out, but I hope that it will be something we all can build on and make the sport grow. I have not spoken with Donnie at Easley yet but the forming the club is to try to take some of the pressure off of him at the track and to increase the number of 1/4 scale racers at his track and yours in Clover. When I mentioned about trophies at the end of the season, I think that it would help if the club payed for them being that we only race every other weekend. That way we can see what the needs of the 1/4 scale family are, while Donnie is busy with 1/10th scale racers. I have spoken with Allen at LPR and I am planning to try to put together a raffle for a set of BRP tires to be given away at the QSAC NCS race the weekend of May 15 & 16. Hopefully this is the begining of something that we can all enjoy and have fun with. Thanks! Bob

PS: We're open to suggestions on what to name the club.

Bob we will be starting to run races 1 weekend a month. And possibly 1 practice night a week. Hoping to start up racing around the March timeframe with open practice sessions prior. We should have a schedule out shortly.
