Does anyone have experience building RC vehicles from scratch? I have an old Black and Decker Cordless weedwhacker sitting in my garage collecting dust and thought it would be neat to incorporate that motor in a mini go-kart type of RC vehicle.

I was figuring on some sort of direct chain-drive set up, but would appreciate any feedback from anyone with some knowledge in this area.
