Its Going To Depend On What Comes With Each One I.e. Motor (how Many Turns) Battery Is It Lipo Or Nimh. Lot Of Variables To Your Question With Very Little Info

Speed is a funny issue...and a lot of recorded speeds are a little hard to prove are/were real...but timing and scoring is getting better and better.

Cliff Lett did run some FAST runs at the IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY, but NIC CASE currently holds the R/C Land Speed Record for straight line at just over 161 MPH at the ROCKINGHAM Drag Strip during the ISC Speed Challenge in 2008

Gary,

Your question is hard to answer...FASTER under what conditions?

It depends on the motor/engine, body, gearing, etc. No one can say for sure without more info and then most likely no one would still know. Notice that none of those come with a "speed" rating. That is because those are basically racing cars and racers are not as much worried about the top speed of a car, rather what the over all performance is. You will see "speed" ratings on such things as Traxxas vehicles because that is what sells product to back yard bashers that are impressed by stated speeds that the majority of them will never see.

Just as an example, a touring car (like a Losi JRXS) with a 1.5 brushless motor and 4s lipo pack can reach 100mph but no one would run that setup in every day use.

For example a drag car can beat a f1 car down the strip but throw in a corner or 2.

hank I would not say no one would try that set up but if they did I would not want to marshal that race. one more thing to add what size car I know 1/8 cars are a lot fasted than 1/10 scale stuff

The JRXS Type R is very nice, i have one. It's quality is off the chart and Losi manual is great. I have built many kits and by far the easiest. But i have never raced a E4 but i have seen one. But to answer your question, there are three things to look at: Motor size, Batteries and gearing. Those are the heart of speed to a car. Hope this helps you out!
