Love the DODGE but talk about things that make ya go ugh. tamiyatim 02-11-2009, 07:24 PM can you please post a link? I can't find it anywhere... tamiyatim 02-11-2009, 07:26 PM Nevermind... I found it... Milezone.net, not .com... http://www.milezone.net/164-County-Roads-R2-Set-of-6-402962041-_p_292.html FLOYDFROG 02-11-2009, 08:08 PM I think I'll pass on the entire set 40Intrepid 02-11-2009, 08:12 PM I thought I heard the D-100 was gonna have a plow blade on it? Lummox 02-11-2009, 09:49 PM Wow, the whole truck looks wrong. The roof IS way too high, but also the overall shape of the body looks crummie. Too flat lookin on the sides and the ends of the rear qtrs look to chunkie. - D. Sapointed - fuddmiester 02-12-2009, 07:44 AM I can live with the body.... the grill will at least keep me thinking of the right shape. That roof however.... gonna take some plastic surgery. If that were to come down as spot on as the other castings I'd hord those! greelt-prod 02-12-2009, 01:22 PM I thought I heard the D-100 was gonna have a plow blade on it? Hello 40Intrepid, This was originally going to have a snow plow blade - you are correct. However it is now going to feature a rear bed tool box instead. The tool box wasn't quite done when we snapped the photo but we should have the group shop updated well in advance of shipping. Sorry for the confusion. As for the Ramcharger comments, are Lummox and fuddmeister referring to the door posts and windshield top? This Ramcharger in County Roads 2 doesn't have the roof. Maybe you are referring to the hardtop version in Black Bandit 3? And yes, we are still working on getting the roof shape a little more "shapely" for lack of a better term. I hope everyone takes a look at this car in person, it is quite nice overall. As always, keep the comments coming. - Matt jefferson 02-12-2009, 01:28 PM I'll be looking for the yellow, blue and green ones for sure..... Lummox 02-12-2009, 01:50 PM Hello 40Intrepid, As for the Ramcharger comments, are Lummox and fuddmeister referring to the door posts and windshield top? - Matt Well it's that the roof gets too much higher after the high point of the windshield....like a UPS truck like fuddmiester said. Thanks for stopping in, - Dave - fuddmiester 02-12-2009, 01:54 PM Hey Matt thanks for the comeback on those issues.... nice to know there is a company out there that listejns!! JL did a bang up job with the Chevy Blazer. Anyway, the top-off version of the RAM is pretty sweet, and if you guys can tweek the removable top, I'll buy everyone I find. Oh yeah, feel free to start the molds on one of these babies... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/Fuddmiester/ExpensiveToys/truck2-1.jpg greelt-prod 02-13-2009, 10:34 AM Well it's that the roof gets too much higher after the high point of the windshield....like a UPS truck like fuddmiester said. Thanks for stopping in, - Dave - Hi Dave, Thanks for the comments. As I said, we are working on the roof. One thing we always have to balance that the real car designers did not (not that they didn't have to tackle other very serious issues such as safety) is the strength of the parts. Well, at least in actual scale the strength of the parts is disproportionately more. Unfortunately in 1:64th scale some things have to be slightly re-engineered to keep them strong enough. These are labeled as ages 8+ and I know quite a few 8 year old boys that resemble tornadoes in their play patterns. I do agree with you though. Fudd (may I call you fudd for short?), we posted a poll on our collector's club a few months back. Unfortunately your beloved new Ram lost out to the blue oval counterpart. That is the way we are currently leaning for a modern truck. Anyway, thanks again for the feedback everyone. Have a nice weekend, - Matt Lummox 02-13-2009, 11:07 AM Have a nice weekend, - Matt Thanks Matt, you too. And by the way, from what I can see, the Black Bandit '66 Galaxie looks like a real bad mamma-jamma...y'awl do some nice work! You guys should go czech it out!!! - D. Volved - fuddmiester 02-13-2009, 04:07 PM Whoa, this is all so new to me. A company that is in tune with the collector!! Matt, fudd is fine. Looks like what ever you folks are doing is working... it's harder than heck to go back and find a certain casting if you passed on it the first go around. As far as that truck casting... why not do a "Four Wheeler"/Petersens "Four Wheel & off road" run. You could even re-work the chassis for a "truckin"/lowrider/street truck run. We could even have a 5 pack of trucks. Is there anywhere to run a poll on new truck castings? Anyway, thanks for the input and, think about that RAM..... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/Fuddmiester/to%20posts/RAMblister.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/Fuddmiester/to%20posts/lowrider.jpg terry9911 02-13-2009, 09:51 PM I haven't been impressed with the whole "County Roads" series at all. Lummox 02-14-2009, 11:53 AM I haven't been impressed with the whole "County Roads" series at all. Well maybe some of it could be executed a little better, but I like the basic idea ok. Mostly I guess it's been the Dodge trucks that really shine through. I thought that yellow telephone truck was a great one. greelt-prod 02-16-2009, 12:11 PM Hi Fudd, Thanks for the photos on Ram in package - those are really fun. As for the poll, we try and give our collector's club some extra perks like getting to vote on that sort of thing such as car selection when possible. I think they might be a little upset with me if I posted all the info here. But I do agree that the Ram has plenty of good options with only minimal changes required. Terry, Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about County Roads? The theme? The cars themselves? If it is something specific we might be able to address it in future releases. Thanks, Matt silverlakefarms 03-05-2009, 03:29 AM Hi Matt, I would love to see the 68-72 Chevrolet/(GMC would be nice) that was coming in the county roads set. As for a modern pickup, one from Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet/GMC would all do well. The 1/64 farm guys would love to have these to go with their 1/64 AG toys. SLF (please don't overlook the Canadian buyer/collector) greelt-prod 03-05-2009, 12:18 PM Hi SLF, Actually ask and you shall receive. The '68 C-10 Chevy will be in County Roads 3 which is several months away. Look for this in stores around early October. Also it will be making an appearance much sooner in Auction Block series 8 as a 1970 C-10 that sold at Barrett-Jackson. This should be in around middle to end of June assuming no major delays. And last, regarding the modern trucks, keep your eyes and ears open... - Matt harristotle 03-05-2009, 12:19 PM Hi Matt, I would love to see the 68-72 Chevrolet/(GMC would be nice) that was coming in the county roads set. SLF (please don't overlook the Canadian buyer/collector) I've been begging for an F-series of any year for a while. I keep hearing the argument of copyright and licensing brought up, which is understandable, except it should have been the first truck that was gone after. Best selling truck for over 3 decades and best selling vehicle for numerous years. There is a correlation between 1:1 popularity and diecast popularity. Just my $.02  zed300 03-05-2009, 04:35 PM Will either the 68 or 70 Chevy trucks have the camper top, that was supposed to come with the Dodge in County Roads 1? Looks like it's supposed to be a beater, see the primer on the rear fender? Mismatched hood paint and all, kind of like the Chevelle was in County Roads R1. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
