Hey guys,

Time to start talking about 1s and the Tekin RS esc. Currently the setup we're recomending is to use a Booster or reciever pack and leave our red wire in and the esc switch in the off position. This provides full power from the battery at all times, but de-activates the lipo cutoff.

Run time isn't an issue with this for 8 minute racing. If you've driven one of these you can go around 12 minutes or more and you can tell when the pack goes flat indicating it's time to stop.

We're working on a 1s profile that can be used which will allow the same setup as above only keep the esc switch in the on position allowing the 1s voltage cut off to be used.

The team has tested this setup with great results. If you have any questions or are looking for setup help feel free to ask.

with the 1s update your working on, do you still need to run a receiver pack?

With my TQ Booster plugged in, the RS Pro switched on, lipo cutoff set at 3V (CST, see attached pic) ... runs awesome with the SMC 4000 mAh 1cell LIPO. Voltage cutoff kicks in (1-3-5 led) just perfect to protect the pack voltage threshold.

Jesse Bean has a good handle on the 1C stuff too. I am sure he will be on here soon to give his updates.

3 of us are running our Tekins for the first time, and with 1 cell lipo this Saturday. We have 3 of the TQ Boosters on the way as well. I'm really anxious to try it out!

does the 200 firmware have the 1 cell lipo cutoff? I plan on using a rx pack, will i need to leave the switch off?

every day we (oval crowd) switches to a new technology i thank my lucky stars i chose tekin over the other guys stuff...it changes when we do with a simple mouse click! (not another 200.00)

just awesome stuff guys!

yes version 200 has lipo cut off. once you check the box for 1c lipo you have to set a voltage for the cut off. Switch is on for lipo cutoff to be active. Switch off = no cut off, better for mod where you might bump into the cutoff.

So I turn the switch on when running a rx pack instead of a voltage booster?

Still running 189 with single cell, both receiver pack and boosters... Although I had an issue with the booster / tekin combo at first, I figured out a fix for it.

Loopedout, switch still stays off. When you plug in or turn on the rx pack, the speedo will power up.

awesome, thanks!

Yes to both. Turning our switch on allows us to control voltage cut off with version 198 or greater.

So if I load version 200 in my speedo, with a receiver pack , I want to turn on the speed control switch and the receiver pack both to the on position, ONLY if I want to use the cutoff voltage feature ........

I'm just double checking because I had always thought the speed control had to be off when using a receiver pack, or smoke would follow ..... lol.

Yes you're correct.

You are correct. ESC switch on = voltage cut off, esc switch off = no voltage cut off.

You didnt do a complete uninstall. Try searching on rc tech. Randy posted some screen shots on this issue.
